A gas field found beneath Lincolnshire could supply the country with the energy it needs for the next 10 years.

A massive gas field discovered beneath Lincolnshire could supply the UK's energy needs for 10 years, reduce reliance on imports, and contribute £112 billion to the economy, according to Egdon Resources.

The gas field, centred on Gainsborough, is expected to create tens of thousands of jobs, generate billions in tax revenue, and provide cheaper energy.

Egdon Resources will formally announce the discovery at the Lincolnshire Energy Conference later this month.

CEO Mark Abbott revealed that extensive research and test drilling confirmed the presence of approximately 480 billion cubic metres of recoverable gas, seven times the UK's current annual consumption.

Worth noting the JV also wants to explore gas storage Angs already have a license:https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5a74acf6e5274a56317a63ad/477-saltfleetby-gas-field-sao.pdfFrom 2010, since the asset was originally marketed as a gas storage play, so all the long boring hoops jumped. Saltfleetby is the largest inland salt cavern in the UK so perfect and hugeWasn't the "in thing" then, however is now ?

Tonnes to go at hear Big D. Headlines

- 100m asset in land, kit and licenses

- MOU due on future storage at safety past the extraction of current gas. ( currently c £250m still in the ground) awaiting updated CPR - huge potential value

- hedges renewed in June
At the end of the Hedge (end of June) the new calculations are :-

1.8 mm therms per month

1 mm therms @ .84p = £840,000 (increases to .90p for winter)

.8 mm therms @ £1.30 = £ 1,040,000

per month = £1,880,000

per year = £22,560,000 (without new compressor boost)

This is the gas only revenue, Oil is already contributing and could increase substantially. Good year ahead for Angus

- new sidetracks planned to removed well royalties

- must be sat on a significant balance cash at bank

- Balcombe partnership with Cuadrilla awaiting judges decision on appeal imminent- (site previous flowed 2000 barrel a day equivalent)
