Much in the press recently.

The anti-coal movement in Australia is getting stronger and stronger.

For anyone in doubt, the greens in Australia are agitating hard against the Adani mine and against coal in general.

Still a "buy" with Gervais Williams at Miton.
Last stake change took them up through 5% of APF.
Unless anyone here knows different.

APF own 17.6million shares in Berkeley

Earlier this year, Berkeley shares peaked at around 58p, valuing 17.6m shares in BKY at some £10.2m

At today's current share price of 14p, 17.6million shares are valued at circa £2.46m.

A reduction of near £8m in value which- as a LISTED/QUOTED investment- would have to be recognized on a mark-to-market basis by reference to current market value.

Based on the fall in BKS shares today I am surprised to see this up. Would have expected this to fall due to risk of loss of investment etc

APF has a stake in Berkeley, melody. Quite possible that this would account for some of the recent price weakness, but it looks a bit overcooked to me.

Why does this deserve to be valued over its NAV? Is it just because of the income or a reflection of a belief that the NAV is inaccurate in a good way for shareholders?

Vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) which makes its way into so-called vanadium redox flow batteries used in energy storage systems breached $20 a pound for the first time since 2005 this month. That’s a four-fold increase from the start of 2017.

Largo are targeting 1000 tons/month from mid 2019 and our royalty is 2%, I make that a possible $10M royalty if prices hold and Largo deliver.

What could be happening is part of a change being seen across the world's mining industry, where there is a flight to quality as environmental regulations tighten around gas emissions and the disposal of waste generated in manufacturing processes. As a general rule, high-quality raw materials create less pollution.

But there might be another factor at work in the coal market, which is potentially more significant; declining supplies of premium coal as exploration for the fuel slows and government mining approvals become harder to get.
