28/7/2017 09:20 | Well it is a bad investment if you bought at 400p, 350p, 300p, 250p, 200p or 150p. Unless you think otherwise. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
28/7/2017 08:54 | Coal is King, everyone will kill for coal. Do not listen to posters, imposters, false prophets who tell you otherwise Glencore secures part of Coal & Allied from Yancoal with never-say-die attitude July 28, 2017News Ben Creagh Glencore and Yancoal Australia are on the verge of joining forces in the Hunter Valley. With Yancoal set to acquire Rio Tinto’s Coal & Allied division, Glencore has secured an agreement with the Chinese-controlled company to take a 49% interest in the Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) coal mine and form a joint venture following completion of the deal. Glencore’s never-say-die attitude towards acquiring Coal & Allied has proven to be rewarding. The company twice presented counter bids for Rio’s New South Wales thermal coal division, but was unable to sway the seller, with Yancoal named as the preferred buyer each time after upping its offers. more here | christh
28/7/2017 08:46 | I'll make exactly the same point I made earlier, again. Have a look at how electricity is produced, in this country and others. When governments get involved, the outcome is so often the opposite of what was intended, diesel being a perfect example. (Particulates, rather than CO2, the issue with diesel). Drax's biomass fiasco is another fine example. Subsidising them to burn pellets that are shipped 4,000 miles. Finding a replacement for coking coal would be interesting. | spectoacc
28/7/2017 08:37 | how is electricity generated? Put it in plain economis :BURNING COAL The cheapest form of energy available in the planet found in abundance. Easy to extract, easy to use, and efficient. | christh
28/7/2017 08:34 | I bought this at 33.5p and above to about 45p As I have grown older I have become more sensible and concerned about the damage we humans are now inflicting upon planet earth Not only by our numbers which been increasing exponentially for the last few decades but also by what our machines and technologies are multiplying the damage we can inflict IF we do not stop .... then planet earth will stop us We are now in danger of becoming a plague V how our beautiful host is regarding us She will act .... she has before to protect herself I have been more Green investment minded for about a decade It makes you feel better and there are still lots of options to choose from | buywell3
28/7/2017 08:33 | Tesla Model 3 launches today. Hydrocarbon fuels are on the way out. UK to be all-electric by 2040 for cars. Coal is yesterday's fuel for yesterday's investors. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
28/7/2017 08:29 | I bought an Audi 2.5 tdi avant in 2004 where it was the cleanest auto I could find: they also did a diesel convertible then. Things have got much cleaner since so if the emissions fiddling (mainly German manufacturers at the moment) hadn't come up, this silly race for embracing electric cars before they are properly sorted wouldn't be pushed to the fore. I would like to see an electric tractor! Public transport pollutes too. Gove and electric cars mirrors Gummer making his kid eat a beef burger. | semper vigilans

28/7/2017 08:26 | Coal is yesterday's fuel and yesterday's story for yesterday's investors. The stigma attached to coal grows ever greater by the day as more and more countries appreciate how it pollutes the environment and as they turn towards green fuels. Coal is in inexorable decline. The terrible sentiment concerning coal will cast a long shadow over APF in my view. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
28/7/2017 08:22 | buywell3 28 Jul '17 - 09:11 - 8314 of 8314 hypocryte! why are you in here? If you do not believe in something you do not invest in the company, do you? You are only motive is money like everbody's elses in here and you are shorting this stock along with a few others who post nonsense messages. COAL IS KING! | christh
28/7/2017 08:03 | I don't - not when you look at how the electricity is produced. It needs far more than "stop using coal & oil". And you may notice that when politicians do get involved, we end up with things like subsidised diesel. | spectoacc
28/7/2017 07:56 | Maybe focus your efforts on politicians or the actual company . Targeting investors of a royalty based company is irrelevant. If APF fails, nothing happens to coal production. I agree with your sentiment however | gavapentin
