Yes, the shorter you hold the lower the risks, in some ways. Higher risk of being chopped, lower risk of being shafted!

I guess it also depends upon ones investment timelines DP,,, I suspect Bumpa (please correct me if I am mistaken Bumpa) is looking for a shortish term rebound from the current lows,,, a spike that the share price has demonstrated previously !!?? Cheers Wan :-)

edit, 5 big spikes in fact :-)

I don't like Argentina as they always end up seizing assets. But it does remind me that BUR offers huge upside from here. It's been 5 months since the Argentine case finished so judgment must be getting close. But to recap, Argentina floated a resource company on NYSE, and included detailed provisions about how shareholders would be paid if the asset was nationalised. They then seized the asset, paid off the 51% shareholder and told the other 49% to go swing. If BUR win they could be awarded 3 times their current EV in damages. And unlike bonds, Argentina have always paid damages claims

DP - Jurisdiction isn’t the best, isn’t the worst. The Newmont/Agnico JV gives (some) comfort on that score…

I looked at OMI and my first thought was "do I trust Columbia and Argentina"? Then I thought of the U.K. windfall taxes and saw yesterday some click bait which may or may not be true about 90% windfall taxes in the EU on some forms of energy generation and it highlights the long term damage being done to our economy. Unless people are confident they will benefit from investing, they won't invest.

PRD oh no how did that happen.

I turned my charts off as on strike for a bit.

Called that one, too.

TA is becoming pretty easy these days.

Maybe I am petty but most will understand why.

Quick and dirty way to get cash fast I am hoping. It is not a cash rich company. If the well doesn't come in the options at 8p wont be worth much so they are betting on hitting gas. The 8p options vest after 6 months or upon the release of a Company RNS with the MOU-2 test results - whichever occurs first.

Genuine move by PRD directors or neat way of crystallising in the money options (and into unsubordinated debt) without it looking iffy?
bumpa33

A placing in disguise at PRD has taken the price down.
Money to be used mainly to forward order long lead equipment for MOU-3, confident or what EDIT then again better to have cash for third well in the bank incase 2nd one fails... was typing faster than my brain lol. Some money to be used in Trinidad where they seem to have got their investment back on line after some mucky dealings where it looked like it was gone and some cash for Ireland in the hope that the Green lunatic in the Energy department post gets the boot next month.
The jam in the RNS is 'Strategic objective to demonstrate a potential gas field production profile of between 150 to 250 mm cfgpd' which has been mentioned is enough to do all off Morocco's needs and export to Spain as well. There is a pipeline 5km away that can be tapped into for export. Not a lot of CAPEX will be needed to get this potential field up and running.
Not happy that they have raised funds now rather than after flow testing however time is money.
Bear in mind this is a 2 man company effectively so they are working on a shoestring.

All in my opinion, not investment advice, I am not a financial advisor, shares can go up and down in price don't listen to people in financial chatrooms for investment advice DYOR. I hold.
