You all report buying yet it's not shifting the bid up and Ilostthelot, better if it was 230-232.5 would look more like real value then. I am very baffled as to why this share is so lowly valued. All my years of investing have seen many shares over valued but not as under valued as what this one is and in such good health as well, very puzzling.

Short article highlighting what I have been saying for a while, oil is not going to hugely recover as many predict. The article is made longer as its compulsory on every article on the BBC about fossil fuels to get in a go green message something has to be done about their biases but that's another story.

Shell, one of the world's largest oil companies, has warned that the low price of oil could reduce the value of its assets by up to $22bn (£17.9bn).
It said it expects oil to change hands at $60 per barrel in the long term and to be priced at $35 this year and $40 next year.

No worries - I use it for my company pension.

Too much hassle to arrange a SIPP via the company and all I want are gold miners anyway.

Royal London offer it as a fund choice and it seems to track the GDX pretty well.

Anyone buying a bond with 0.85% coupon for 100 years is bonkers.

Mind you - it is them paying with someone else's money.

Given all the money printing - no thanks.

Let's hope this 'dividend appreciation' finally gets reported by Sharescope etc!

And a reminder that the Hardman research note predicted a 10.5c payout for 2020, followed by 8c in each of 2021 and 2022.

I expect in reality we'll see a more gradual rise to 10.5c - that's more AAZ's style. Hoping we get an extra 0.5c per interim and final payout, as has happened so far.

Can understand why almost any Gov't, in these times, would delight in issuing a
100yr bond to fund deficit financing for all of a 0.85% coupon.
Austria has been flogging a 100yr bond since 2017 and just got away a
further $20-bn issue.
Investors love it; it was almost 9 times oversubscribed!
They must be thinking rate crushing has yet further to run and thus
can leverage on the bond duration to make yet more good capital gain on this play.

With that mindset, it's not hard to envisage some of the 8/9th that came away
from the auctions with cash still in pockets will put at least a little into gold.

as an aside, if the POS remains moribund, that's ok by me [AAZ perspective}.
To extent all the pm demand is concentrated upon gold, can only go all the higher.
Silver can wait a while longer afaic.

As a big gold bug - no capital appreciation in a year is bonkers.

My pension is all in miners via Blackrock and is 60% up.

Serious point though - how can this be ‘making a market’ when there’s no sells and many buys, yet they drop the price?

So what's their feeble excuse this morn, I wonder for dropping the bid, it's not ex divi yet, then we'll get another 3 p off I bet

Sorry I meant just the share price - the company remains as promising as ever. I do wonder why we are so unloved, but hey, the market will do what the market will do...

As lefrene usually says....another 200oz odd of gold produced each day ....all going into the companies coffers.....what's not to like about that.....and the increasing dividend....😀;

TBH things are a little dull here, which I suppose we should be grateful for given the shenanigans at other miners...

Don't see any upside in releasing jorc before formerly signed off. Any subsequent issue with the report would be a car crash.Might as well wait until done properly. No urgency if we can't get a gold shipment away. Plenty of cash to run the business in the bank and sell the gold in August, we'll get more money then!

I have bought RENX recently, finished building my position today. It is a fascinating company, applying AI to kidney disease diagnosis. Approved in the US at $950 per patient, aiming for a Nasdaq listing next month, lots of links with Mount Sinai, and another company in the group being primed to spin off. DYOR but I'm hoping its a case of buying a great healthcare technology company at UK prices before the US see the value.

If anyone fancies an alternative Russian gold miner take a look at Highland Gold, HGM. It's one of my longest holdings and now my largest too. Never any dramas, good divi, seems to track the gold price better than AAZ. Have a look at their covid update rns from yesterday which gives an indication of what a well run company they are, all in my opinion of course.
