15/10/2018 22:11 | bozzy, think this will work for you & others: | mattjos
15/10/2018 22:08 | Do you have a copy of the share price Angel flash note Matt? Are you able / happy to post here? Given some of the utter basket case, permanently loss-making companies they are paid to plug, I'd expect a hell of a lot more effort re AAZ. That said, I've never given any consideration to house broker views when choosing an investment. Always a buy recommendation and a high target price. That's what they're being paid to do. Strangely it seems share price Angel's flash notes / research pieces on AAZ do have an effect on the price. I hope that's because potential investors look at Matt's research as well as company fundamentals, and buy because of those. Hope no-one's stupid enough to buy because a paid-for broker says so! | bozzy_s
15/10/2018 21:59 | Second CC - regular Edison reviews would be be well received by investors. As for sacking SPA, well maybe. Then again, to extent their overly conservative assessments have held the share price back, hasn't this been a boon for those who have kept adding to holdings or bought in lately? | 2sporrans
15/10/2018 21:46 | ORM moving on up to test top line,,,, free stock charts from uk.advfn.com or fall back to previous bottom line.... Cheers Wan | wanobi
15/10/2018 21:42 | TXP testing resistance for 2nd time; free stock charts from uk.advfn.com Fall back to sideways trend line support of 17p or push on through to 22p and upwards? Cheers Wan | wanobi
15/10/2018 21:23 | Amazon - taking over the retail world, Sears in chapter 11.... Current chart; free stock charts from uk.advfn.com Just for fun really, on any level this has broken uptrend big time, next support looks to be around 1600, oversold but has been worse in the past,,,,, let's see if 1600 is anywhere near correct as an entry point... Cheers Wan | wanobi
15/10/2018 21:15 | crazycoops, cheers, independent maybe,SP clearly demonstrating their lack should not excuse them as they have a history of same re this company as mentioned. Then AAZ reading the same note as everybody else must now act and replace them as note not justified or credit worthy of company achievements and for sure undervaluing by a huge margin. Aaz need to put their sacking boots on and get rid asap. | bleepy
15/10/2018 21:09 | Saudi news just out ... this will roil markets & have a big impact on markets around the world, imo | mattjos
15/10/2018 20:50 | It is not easy for them .... eg. along with a couple of others here, I was invested in a company called West China Cement from 2009 to 2012. The covering analyst was a chap called Anthony Schindler from Evo Securities. The ADVFN thread for that stock was like this one... a lot of research, freely shared amongst a core group of PI's who all had big holdings and all did research to the nth degree. At the 2011 AGM, I met with Anthony Schindler & he admitted to a few of us that the PI research posted on the ADVFN thread was way ahead of anything they had. They read the thread to know what was going on! That was a candid admission by him & the CEO also admitted the BOD had the thread printed off each day for them to read. This is the key advantage we have as PI's .. we only have a very small universe of stocks that we care passionately about and do the research on. Covering analysts do not have the time to go to the lengths we do. This is what these threads are so good for (when used as they should be)& this is why I've tried to encourage valid posters, insightful research and to discourage / get-shot-of the ADVFN chaff. A good thread draws and holds investors like nothing else. Hope we can retain this thread in that spirit for a long time to come yet .. there is still so very much more this company can achieve, | mattjos
15/10/2018 20:48 | bleepy - as I understand it the analyst works independently from the sales side of the broker. He has visited the site, met with management and produced his own analysis and forecasts. That is the way it should be. Sometimes it is good to have a second opinion in the market, especially if AAZ are heading towards mid-tier status and want to see that reflected in the share price. This said, I think AAZ management have played a blinder this year and I am happy to trust their judgement - I'm sure they have a plan. | crazycoops
15/10/2018 20:38 | Think I would have added a section on the current Macro environment, specifically new central bank buying by Poland & Egypt along with continued & determined buying by Russia, China, Kazakhstan etc.Near term valuation kickers from the imminent Gadir JORC & the long, long awaited heli-survey (reference back to Behre Dolbear's advice to do this ASAP in the IPO docs).A link back to the IPO docs hiliting that this is not new 'new' exploration .. this is confirmatory exploration.Emphasis that this is a very strong & competent team just now getting into its stride & that continued 'well above-par' performance is anticipated to persist.Management interests highly correlated with shareholders interests. It would be an easy note to come out with | mattjos
15/10/2018 20:35 | If AAZ management don’t believe the house broker then why don’t/haven | bleepy
15/10/2018 20:27 | If AAZ management don't believe the house broker estimates are accurate, there is another option beyond switching brokers (which might not be the right option). They could engage one of the paid for research companies like Equity Development, Edison etc. These still count when it comes to broker consensus etc. and are a drop in the ocean in terms of cost/benefit. | crazycoops
15/10/2018 20:16 | Can I suggest that they get Mattjos on board. He knows far more about the company than an analyst ever will ! :) | jeanesy
15/10/2018 20:14 | Anglo Asian began production at Gedabek, the bigger of two mines it operates, in July 2009 with plans to extract 22 tonnes of gold. It eventually plans to develop seven mines in western Azerbaijan, including Gedabek, with estimated gold reserves of 430 tonnes in total. cheers Wan | wanobi
15/10/2018 19:55 | Fire them and get liberum on board. Least they know what a mine looks like | mr roper
15/10/2018 19:55 | Sergei does not seem to be 'analysing' the more recent data from the company and using that to effectively project forward his spreadsheets. This is his main error, imo. He only seems able to analyse historical data but, cannot then project forward with proper weighting of new data received.Eg. The new crusher means they can dedicate the agitation plant to the soft, copper-free ore coming out of Ugur .. hence recovery rates have increased to highest on record.Anyone of us here could see that Silver production this year was going to be a monster figure. The company may have decided to give it a Zero figure in some of their presentations but, the analyst should have easily seen what we know. Ugur is heavy on silver & you can't get the gold out without getting the silver out at same time. | mattjos
15/10/2018 19:54 | I thought John Meyer of share price Angel suggested AAZ would shortly hit £1. The AAZ analyst seems totally lost, possibly embarrassed, if he raises it too fast verses his historic and totally woeful 'target' prices. I know the CFO was far from satisfied at the last presentation, saying share price Angel could do a lot more. For goodness sake the current yield alone suggests the price should be above £1 right now. | broken_arrow1
15/10/2018 19:46 | I don't care about Angel anymore. Another lovely blue day here :) | jeanesy
15/10/2018 19:44 | We can only keep registering our dissatisfaction regarding share price Angel with the AAZ BoD. | brasso3
15/10/2018 19:38 | Its quite pathetic and very annoying, especially the valuation metrics. They have consistently lagged the performance and never really helped with their PR responsibility. The only weak link..... There are a number of posters on this thread that could do a much better job. | gutterhead
15/10/2018 19:25 | Just comparing share price Angel 21st June 18 Flash Note to this morning Flash Note. Conclusion: Whilst they are moving their target price up, they are still woefully, absolutely woefully behind the curve. They have just got their Target Price above the current market price but, it is still far too low. If you look at the details in the report, you can see how they have now been forced to move up just about every major reported figure ... & they are not out by a few % .. on all key valuation metrics such as cash flow & profits they are out by 20-40%!!!I maintain that they will once again shortly be forced into yet another note & move up to over £1 on target price. The analyst is far too conservative, despite the company performance consistently proving him/them wrong for last 3 years now. | mattjos
15/10/2018 19:18 | gold at $1227 | gutterhead |
