21/9/2018 22:50 | It was a wine from Costco with a Kirkland label. Getting it again at just under a tenner! | thejonah
21/9/2018 21:21 | 7m volume week & still no Holdings declarations for last 3 years? Roll on divi record date & let's see who's really holding what. | mattjos
21/9/2018 21:07 | thanx KS, could well be on both counts, I expect to meet up with him face to face in Nov and will discuss further then!!! cheers Wan | wanobi
21/9/2018 21:01 | I think your city friend is simply alluding to the fact that a lot of fund managers have constraints about the size of company (and location) they can buy shares in? Terms will be in the prospectus of the funds when they are first established. Income funds probably look for larger sized companies with a longer history of paying dividends... About the jurisdiction - probably just ignorance about the companies relationship with the Azer government? | king suarez
21/9/2018 21:00 | yasX, very best wishes to you, good luck, no one ever got poor taking profits and all that... cheers Wan | wanobi
21/9/2018 20:53 | from an earlier post....... "Agree, I can see £1+,,,, however, they are in a bit of no-man’s land in terms of market cap - £70m too small for most institutions to buy. Far too small for most income funds and not exactly a secure form of income given the jurisdiction." Please, all, your thoughts on this comment are most welcome.... ? cheers Wan | wanobi
21/9/2018 20:50 | TJ, yes, I'm sure you're 100% correct on that,,, when to sell!!! 15%,,,, yummy, I bet that's a sumptuous little number, :-) label? right now I've no real yardstick for my 'head first approach' into AAZ,,,, I feel like I've landed in the right place at the right time with the right people etc etc!! just hope I've followed the right crowd so to speak :-) I certainly don't want to be a trader, no time to do that, plus I only have ADVFN,,, not some bloomberg double screen system,,,,, yet :-) what was it the 'wolf of wall street called them'..... "where's your quotrons" I seem to recall,,, lol, :-) I suppose I'm heavily bought in here, bocoz, as u say, it's for the long term,,, I want the divi's plus the share price to rise to £1+ over time.... fingers crossed,,,,, surely it can't be that difficult to beat the paltry bank interest rates we are currently seeing, can it!!! hope that hasn't cursed AAZ, cheers Wan | wanobi
21/9/2018 20:40 | We haven’t factored in what effect inst investment will have. They like to buy in volume, they like to justify their investment and they all follow each other. Great week, have a good weekend all | gutterhead
21/9/2018 20:34 | Yes Mattjos, suggestion for the header:AAZ FYB !!!!! | thejonah
21/9/2018 20:32 | Hi there W, slow down on the questions or you will gag yourself again ?Don't do white, but I am sure you will enjoy that one. I am melting into a USA Napa County Cab Sauv 15%. Gorgeous! On your question / observation on selling when there is a dividend pending, I guess that short term traders may think they can make the 2.3p on the daily swings, so they are probably not bothered by the noise. Profit is a profit and all that. I would rather be in than out though, very unpredictable, but would not want to miss the 20p+ rocket whenever / if ever it comes. You have done the easy bit - when to buy a share - now you have the hard bit - when to sell a share (or what proportion of your holding). That said, this ones a keeper and adder for now. All the best to all!TJ | thejonah
21/9/2018 20:30 | Contrary to one poster, was not on hols. It was business trip to Poland.Anyway, back now & will spend some time on the thread header this weekend.Any requests / reminders for what should go in it please?I do find it odd that John Meyer should advise in his interview that we will see £1+ on the share price yet, SPAngel remain at 84p price target .. for now. Therefore fairly sure the Q3 update will cause them to revise target upward shortly. Those that have followed for the last 4 years will know my own targets, which I made clear at 5p .. now 12x higher, it is very pleasing to read many new investors quoting similar.80p the very obvious near-term obstacle but, reasonably sure Gadir JORC will blow that away. Not long to wait | mattjos
21/9/2018 20:05 | I see a few took some profits today. Well each to their own.. a profit is a profit after all. I am not one of them. Quite a while back i sold a few ( cant remember at what price) and it looked like a good move as the shareprice fell quite a bit. I then bought back at a lower price and it appeared a good move. However the shareprice eventually moved above the price i sold at .. so it actually wasn't a good move. If you believe that the share price has reached a peak , well yes sell, but with all the current positive news i dont believe it has so i wont be selling any. If if dips then i will buy more as i believe it will go higher , like many here. What a week it has been !! | jeanesy
21/9/2018 19:56 | Apols all, I am a frustrated question asker who's been under a self imposed gagging order for a week!!!! CC, I agreed to it, lol, :-) cheers all, Wan | wanobi

21/9/2018 19:43 | Plasybryn & Donnatella,, thanx for posting, most appreciated... Plasybryn, for what it's worth, there are some brilliant, talented investors on the mattjos thread and you'd do well IMHO to take their advice,,, I have and so far I'm significantly wealthier for it :-) thanx to them.... cheers mattjos guys!! I only started this thread because I irritated them so much with my amateurish questions which, with 2 months hindsight I accept without question.... I've learned a lot,,, but I have so much more to learn... I have no idea how experienced you are at this, I am truly a learner driver!!! However, I hope you'll find my junior thread entertaining at least :-) Cheers Wan Obi | wanobi
21/9/2018 19:35 | KS, thanks for responding to Plasybryn in so much detail on my thread, much appreciated as I was radio silenced at the time :-) that said, I could not have commented in the way you did anyhow, cheers mate, Wan | wanobi
21/9/2018 19:33 | Tj, I've kinda done what you've said really,,, I now own loads of these little blighter's,,,, fingers crossed on this or I'll have to work till I'm 90, lol hope all is well with you, I have a nice Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2017 Marlborough to enjoy this evening, you? Cheers Wan | wanobi
21/9/2018 19:13 | other comments he made; 1/ Mine life – recently extended by 5-6 years. 2/ Dividend – set policy to pay 25% free cash out. 3/ Government – recently indicated that the Government’s minimum profit participation, which is equivalent to a 12.75% production share, is set to continue at least until 2023. cheers W | wanobi
21/9/2018 19:08 | r-o-t-apeman,,, I am, I am,,,, thanx. only proper that I say thanks to all the mattjos guys, I may well be a pain in the proverbials but I do mean well..... I really don't understand why peeps are selling when there is a divi coming so soon!?? I suppose they just haven't done the research that you guys have done & I have ridden on the back of.... traders:-) I am in this now for the long run,,, it's in my SIPP and I'd like to think they'll prove up all those Russian reserves and more,,,, and AAZ will be paying me a divi for the next 30 years!!! here's hoping, cheers all, have a great weekend, very best wishes.... Wan Obi | wanobi
21/9/2018 19:02 | thanks CC & yes I've learned a lot by watching, not least of which, that, its so much easier than responding to disbelieving posters all the time.. I assure everyone that I am genuine and would like nothing more than to see AAZ taken over at £5/share :-), preferably on Monday lol... questions, what are they for, lol, :-) I had a chat with a city old timer friend of mine today about AAZ as I'd hope the II's would be buying it.... This was his take (and trust me, he's been very successful in the city for a long time),,,,, "Agree, I can see £1+,,,, however, they are in a bit of no-man’s land in terms of market cap - £70m too small for most institutions to buy. Far too small for most income funds and not exactly a secure form of income given the jurisdiction." Please, all, your thoughts on this comment are most welcome.... BTW, I hold significantly more shares in AAZ now,,,,, so I am not trying to put a downer on AAZ SP, that would be insane of me... and yes, before you all pull me up on my risk management, I've taken a massive punt here!!! after all,,,, you only live once :-) Cheers Wan and BTW, nice to be able to post again:-) | wanobi
21/9/2018 18:44 | I absolutely LOVE that the thread got its sixth down vote over the last 24 hours. I wish we could see who is so bitter :D C0ck end. Of course it's the same old thing, they don't want to buy after such massive rises, they think that's it and it'll retrace. This isn't a pump and dump speculative stock you muppet. It pays a dividend. It's going to continue up. Your choice. Miss out and cheer yourself up with a nice downvote. I'll stick to different reasons to be cheerful. Lots of them. Have a fabulous weekend all. Even mr downvoter. Especially mr downvoter. I'll be spending it packing. Moving next week. :) | jbravo2 |
