50p always a battle ground .. just like £1 will be later.

would expect a bit of trading above and below that price for today and tomorrow

Looks like the shake out, perhaps the MMs need some stock?

crazycoops perhaps PWC are still feeding the market? It's high volume for this today, I guess a good day if you want to turn as much as possible into cash? Gotta get those fat fees somehow :¬)

Remember that presentation a couple of weeks back Matt, for HNW and specialist funds? I said at the time I thought it was a good strategy to have new buyers going into results. Maybe that is playing out here (especially if PwC are clear now). There is also the Stocko crowd - a fair few HNW on there! There is a great set up here, just need results to be received well and we could be seriously off to the races with so little stock available.

...or it could be someone who has had a sneak peak at the upcoming results

very different trading pattern yesterday and today here.

We have a repeated and persistent buyer(s) in 10k & 20k chunks. Person/persons appear to have made a determined decision to get a good sized holding here now.
With the mkt cap now firmly over the £50m threshold now, it may well be a institutional investor who is now 'allowed' to buy due as the mkt cap satisfies their in-house rules.
The value of buys now likely beyond what most PI's can afford in such a persistent manner.

Autumn looks a real good bet for next leg of Euro crisis and general stocks decline. Rather it didn't happen though as IMO gold and everything including small miners like us will be sold off initially. $US should rise at that point and 10 year tsy rate should decline during crisis. Will be a great opportunity to add if it happens.

After the crisis, maybe just maybe gold miners will have their time in the sun again.

Interesting point is that all UK banks have to have split off investment functions from retail side by Feb 19 to avoid bringing financial system down. So maybe we hang on till then for crisis. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall at Jackson Hole when ideas re crisis timelines were getting discussed.

Fundamentals aside, the developing situation in Italy must also at some point help boost the gold price. It has the potential to be like the Greek debt crisis x10.

Outstanding. I am selling NONE of my 300,000 shares. True value will be revealed in 2019.

AAZ wanted today, it would be good to see it fairly rated instead of languishing in the untouchables corner.

Rises this sharp before the results in a few days time imply to me that some more people have done their homework

Many days like this to come over the next few years :-)

Edit: Judging by the sells, some clearly have not, plenty of time for research for them though as this climbs on

looks like it did in Sept 2010 when the 20p barrier finally fell and it then went on to rise fourfold in the next 4 months.

My adder exhausted at about 40p. Observed the serial jump ups in chart. Making up for pause it seems. Nice.

it goes into scheduled auction enough as it is during the day

Shouldn't this have gone into auction when it made gains of more than 10%?

Finally, the brakes are off - unless there is something spurious that is not readily palpable, we could still be at the foothills of a long march since on known metrics this remains undervalued and then some.
