Yes, there you go wrighty.
Most of the stuff gone late again.

You could sell 50k at 32.7 at one point today if you were so minded matt.

buyer(s) have picked up most of the loose stock today after the bell again.

The real spread is looking like sell (over 50k) at 32.3 and buy at 33.

Most days 37.5k, buy or sell, is the normal largest single block the MM's will handle but, this rises significantly on the Bid side when the MM's after stock, as they seem to be now.

Thursday this week for the Q3 update would be similar timing to last year. AAZ seem to like either Wednesday or Thursday news-items & 'scheduled' ones are normally at 7am. However, as has been seen here on several prior occasions, unscheduled +ve news-items are often released around lunchtime, presumably as the company agree the wording towards the end of their working day (+3hrs).

Let's see what tomorrow brings :-) .. still time to close this pesky gap, perhaps during an auction, as there is still a buyer signalling he wants some at 31p during the auction

Normally this would of been hammered down by th Mm's on this small sell volume. Be interested to see any after hours buy if they aren't snapped up before close.

plenty of positives bravo as we all know here but, the market always wait to see it in black & white, so to speak.

(Will be interesting to see how the Catalans act this evening ... A declaration of independence by them could quickly see the Basques join them and maybe achieve through the ballot box what ETA failed to achieve via the bomb for many years.
I am regularly in San Sebastian and, whilst the Basques do not often talk about it with strangers, I have a close commercial relationship with a company there.
They advise the mood is to patiently bide their time and wait to see how things move in Catalonia & if they might ride on the back of that decision. Spain could be splinter quickly from here and that would really upset the European grand project, in turn fanning the flight to gold).

Good post jbravo, and I'm thinking what would happen if 1 or 2 funds decide they want a piece of this ever shrinking pie.

Yes, each RNS from here on in will make a few more investors sit up and take notice.
As you say, when it comes to peoples attention just how things have changed here from 12 months ago, never mind the last 3 years then each time a few more "get it" and realise you just don't see ANY companies like this.
It's the combination of so many bits that makes it so unique. Just to re-iterate and add a few...

The low number of shares.
The even smaller and ever shrinking free float part of that number.
The revenue relative to mkt cap.
The shrinking debt.
The ever expanding plant.
The new ore being found.
The falling costs.
The fact we've NEVER been done over with dodgy share issues/capital raising
The increasing profits.

I could go on but there's little point til a new RNS brings a few uninitiated here. Then only the best investors grasp it quickly. Most think, "oh I've missed the boat", or "oh I want my money back from X share first" or "there's not enough of the ramping idiots here for churn"
But value will out.
It ALWAYS does.
Without exception.

The thing is spotting it before MOST other people.

Good news is normally early/on time so any day. Should be a rewarding week.
34p was the last recent high, approx a year ago and the company fundamentals, team, debt position, commodity price, running expenses, NAV, productivity, and overall outlook are completely different now.
The only thing that remains is the companies inability to PR itself but markets react eventually. I prefer a company that concentrates on the day job rather than diverting energy talking about it.
Feels like it should sail past 34p.

Cantor are the dominant MM on this stock and have been so for several years. I would suggest SCAP are next followed by WINS and finally PEEL.

They can represent a seller and still be collecting for their own book at same time.

But, you cannot read too much into L2 on this stock as there is a parallel market + the MM's do get up to a lot of games and try to dress the order book at times.

its a personal TA thing really. The chart is gap free from the 4p lows & that is how I prefer to see the chart evolve.
A gap is a gap and just nags away at me until filled.

That 2008 4p gap always bothered me and it surely did come back and fill it. I predicted it would when the stock was 33p, much to the disbelief of others at the time.
This morning's gap-up was, almost, inevitable after the way it closed yesterday with no stock being offered despite the buying demand. It's managed to rustle up a few sellers now this morning and so I would be quite happy to see it 'fall' back to fill that gap. That can be achieved simply by the spread returning to where it was yesterday ie. 32 - 33 or them MM's dropping the Bid to 31p in the hunt for some more sellers.
I believe it will do just that between now and Thursday morning. Let's see.

Indeed celeritas.

And to expand further several times in the past you've commented on gaps that haven't existed at all in reality.
Where the close price for the day has been set by a completed closing auction which has been below mid it usually results in a gap up appearing on the charts the next morning. Of course in reality there has been no gap up at all.
Also there was chat a while ago about a gap up in the gold chart. Again one didn't actually occur in reality but appeared as if it had on some charts due to the closed market in the UK due to bank holidays.

Is it the appearance of a gap existing (even if it hasn't) leading to the supposed behaviour which will lead it to close, or, is it the actual technicalities of a gap existing (possibly even if not observed!?) which will lead it to close.

Just interested in the theory.

Edit:
(Haven't asked previously as you do have data on your side! In all those cases I've noted and just referenced, the gap did indeed close.
This isn't of course unusual, there is only once each price is visited for a last time and the chance of commenting on a gap needing to be closed as that occurrence happens is low. Very, very low.)

I'm not into the gap theory either, some fill the gap but plenty more never return for gap filling.

Gap up? Is that really a concern?
(Yes I know about the much talked about filled gap under 5p)

Why is the tiny "gap up" at the start of a day relevant?

So the mid price gap up was 0.75p after a day which saw buying pressure... the actual gap up in trades executed was 0.9p. (It is interesting to note that the small after hours trade didn't take place at mid point for once yesterday. This is the first exception I can remember but it took place above mid point, possibly demonstrating that pressure?)

After my buy at 31.5p yesterday the next trade (also a buy) was 1.2p above that. There was a larger intra day gap if you will.

Why worry about such a small inter day gap?

Do inter day gaps only matter when there is no news to cover it? I'll bet we see a larger gap up for any of several news items in the second half of this year. Will they also be a cause for your concern?
Genuine questions... interested in your answer, but have so say I'm not worried about it in the slightest.

All the car manufacturers are going electric .. GM just said they are going all electric.
There is going to be a significant and persistent demand growth in Copper for the next 10-15 years.

That element of AAZ's production profile is set to grow over the coming years & the valuation of its resources in the ground is going to increase accordingly.
The company is in a real sweet-spot just now
