Spot on Cash.

I have been watching Zenith for some months, and got in fairly recently, once it was clear they had got their act together.

AAOG have wasted the opportunity so far. Despite a great asset, they have contrived to mess it up. Fortunately the situation is retrievable, and the big drill is yet to come. However, to those who think the workovers are irrelevant to the investment case, I can tell you that the ability to perform the workovers efficiently is very much central to the investment case. Drilling for hydrocarbons is a lot more complex than many posters realise, and understanding the geology and producing successful completions is vital.

Not paying for quality staff in mission critical positions is indeed a false economy.

Fingers crossed we get the stellar returns that I hoped for when investing here.

Incompetent is harsh but was only a question? Doing things on the cheap when you a have a possible "transformative" situation is not clever or competent. By the looks of it the next door field/well/deposit is producing, so there is reduced risk. Pay the right people the right amount, pay for the appropriate quality equipment and issues tend to go away or are reduced at least. Patience with this one and who knows a nice holiday beckons next year :)

Maybe they tried to do it on the cheap by not getting a top notch Ops manager in the first place.

Incompetent is very harsh.
Naive probably
They overplayed the COS on the work overs, when in truth it was always about the drill.

New here. Hope you guys are right and this is the bottom(ish). Only in it for 2.5k. This is an aim punt for me small company with an opportunity to strike it rich....but all the problems along the way can derail it. In your opinion (I have read theirs on the website) are the BoD incompetent or has there been bad luck with weather/equipment/contracts?

Anyone came over here from JOG as a new opportunity?

The work overs will not produce anything of significance in my opinion, brace yourself for another dip. If this does happen then it's a good opportunity to top up at a discount, once the rig is confirmed and on site the price will be far higher than it is today.

How about an rns stating the work over has taken place and there willBe a further rns with results. PR is shocking here

We are sweating on the work over update and status of rig.

Granted they may need a few days to release new BOPD figures for TPL-101.

But I have an unwelcome feeling in the pit of my stomach and it isn't a government minister.

They said the work would be completed by the end of October. Allowing for some slippage and then collating data, I wouldn’t have expected to hear from them.

It’s only Nov 1st today.

What about the work over news?

What exactly would you like them to say AimMafia?

While I feel they could have been a little more communicative in the recent past, I really don’t see what there is for them to say until the rig is available.

scyther,

"The rig will likely not be operational at its current site before November 2017 and, as a result, it will not be available to AAOG before mid-December at the earliest"

'At the earliest'

Scyther,

If you read the ‘delay RNS’ carefully can you not see a scenario where we won’t have news until February?

What on earth are you talking about February? The rns states mid December so where does February come in?
