For a sensible investor 6-9 weeks is nothing to wait and make 50% on the hype when Rig arrives.

For Aim players 6 weeks is 6 years.

Got to 16p last week so sub 15p is cheap and I have bought back in

"The rig will likely not be operational at its current site before November 2017 and, as a result, it will not be available to AAOG before mid-December at the earliest"

It's lost almost half its value since timw3 posted that on August 14.

A nice trickle of buys and up she goes
Chart looks just lovely

The arrival of positive news will produce a dramatic rise here

Come on, tell us the rig adjustments are complete
Then hit us with a drilling contract

35p anyone?

I spoke to the execs a couple of weeks ago as part of their roadshow-this was all about rig compliance reading between the lines.I don't expect to hear anymore negative news and it's clear they have enough cash to get through to the spud.A key element when you hear the word 'drift'

It's all about the drill for me-the rest is a sideshow which was rather naively handled but all will be forgiven if the drill is successful.I was happy to buy in on the placing so at this level,I have to believe it's cheap-ignoring the tax relief.

I agree pinkfoot1.
The delay RNS did have that positive element, " This is currently the best rig for the job, and because 103 is so important, we will put up with the wait" As an argument, it does have merits.

But,

They haven't as yet signed a contract, and we have a new man on the ground.

There is still the option for an alternate rig. Monsieur Guiraud may have different contacts than his predecessor.

I wouldn't be surprised to see an RNS with a different rig, but sooner spud date.

Keep them peeled, as the scramble for shares will be joyous to behold.

I think/hope that lessons have been learned from the previous underwhelming and challenging statements. They gave the impression of a company which was bordering on amateur.

Nothing has changed in reality from the IPO other than a bit of slippage and I would rather we had a rig that is up to scratch than one that isn't-common sense.

Cash is plentiful so I think it's about not making any silly and self inflicted mistakes again.

I bought on the placing for 103-nothing has altered my view other than a bit of drift.

Looks cheap to me which is why I bought a load more last week

I think it could be much higher.

The last RNS clearly showed an intention to, finally, get a grip.

Work-over results with improved flow from TPL 101, tubing and pump.

Rig upgrades completed.

Drilling contract signed with firm date for early next year.

Plenty of news due.

I agree AimMafia.

The severity of the drop on the delay does however need some explaining?

On looking at the run up in the share price in early September I believe we had a splurge in speculative buying as traders took positions ahead of the expected drilling contract.

The wholly unjustified plummet after the delay announcements (which actually had some positive aspects, FFKS!) can be explained if the bulk of that speculative buying was on margin and we then had forced selling, driving the price down.

You foolishly say that the share might "fly", given that we have had published potential valuations of between 5 and 15 POUNDS! per share, if we hit 5000 BOPD as hoped, dare I suggest that "inter-stellar travel" is more appropriate than mere "flying".

Life changing opportunity here if TLP 103 meets reasonable expectations, even the near certain drilling contract RNS will see it double from this level.

Hopeful of some positive news here soon.

An update on the rig modifications, signing of drilling contract and then the replacing of tubing RNS with, hopefully, improved production figures.

Any of the above will put us above 20p easily, a firm drilling contract alone could see all time highs.

Patience will bring great riches here.

I hope you are all doing well here, I called the bottom at 11p I think. My latest investment is Cabot Energy, I hold 300k and am looking for 15p within 6 months, I shall let you know when I add or sell, I have done the research, looks like it will be making cash this year and is currently under the traders radar.

Luckyvince,

Best to research yourself. Both companies have a lot of merit, one has more production, the other offers huge potential production with a high impact well on the horizon. I tend to invest heavier in safer options and less so in riskier ones.

Also, reading between the lines of your post, it should never be about company X vs company Y. Look at your investments as a whole. Its always important to manage risk and have a portfolio spread amongst different companies, sectors and even asset-classes. Over the longerterm, it generally pays off.
