04/5/2021 16:54 | 5 years ago but "all the planning is in place" I'm unclear how long mining licences last or whether the scope covers the latest economic models. The company seems to have support at a local and regional level too.https://youtu.be | kooba
04/5/2021 16:34 | As for the railway, that's another project that has decades of history and it's suggested it would open as a heritage railway, well that was on the last lease. | hyper al
04/5/2021 16:18 | wassapper I don't have a problem with the mine going ahead, I've waited decades for it to do so. But planning is a reality. Even your example of the Cumbrian coking coal mine (Woodhouse Colliery)highlights the time required. Application for Woodhouse was made in May 2017 see It takes at least a year (nearer 2) to get all the info together before the application. Planning approval was given in November 2019 and first coal from face is not due until 2022 | hyper al
04/5/2021 16:14 | Talk around suggesting a major infrastructure project (railway) will be recommissioned passing close to AYM mine site. Late volume kick is interesting, copper prices moving to new highs, news coming ? | broken_arrow1
04/5/2021 16:11 | The pump has restarted | bigberty99

04/5/2021 15:16 | Bill will slip the Planning Committee a few quid and all will be sorted | trader536
04/5/2021 14:46 | Hyper. You are wrong. The mine can be operational within 2 years. Planning permission on an existing industrial site, in an area that needs jobs, and in a political environment that will support "green " projects will come easily. See the proposed but controversial coking coal mine in Cumbria. A copper mine is a positive. | wassapper
04/5/2021 14:44 | calmtrader Show me the 2006 document, blimey that's 15 years ago. Planning applications expire! Even if they have a provisional approval for a certain size mine, that is not an application for mining. All planning applications are available on the council planning portal. Give me the planning application number. There are very few types of planning applications that last more than 10 years. certain mineral extraction rights can last decades, but planning approval is still required when going back into operation. You just need to look at the planning process for other recent UK mines, it will be no different for Anglesey. | hyper al
04/5/2021 13:15 | Lim was up 10% last trading day, expect that to gradually climb on anticipation of offtake agreements being sorted, should drag us up in the meantime... | benjamin15
04/5/2021 13:07 | Hyper please stop posting this nonsense..go to the Anglesey website and search under property and land rights and you will see" planning permission for a 1000 tonne per day mine was obtained in 1988 , reviewed in 2006 and remains current "" | calmtrader
04/5/2021 13:07 | Meanwhile metal prices keep going up.... | benjamin15
04/5/2021 12:45 | trader356 Yep, I see no current planning applications lodged by Anglesey Mining with the council. The reality is it takes years to get planning approval for a mine, even in areas of previous mining. I could always be proven wrong, but I reckon it would take 4 or 5 years from now before we had a fully operational mine in Anglesey. That timescale would probably work well with reinstating the railway line and creating a branch line to the mine. | hyper al
04/5/2021 12:15 | Hyper - in previous posts you were constantly bleating about planning permission issues | trader536
04/5/2021 11:42 | trader536 What are you talking about? I think the railway line is a good idea. | hyper al
04/5/2021 11:31 | Hyper Al - why are you worried about a railway line if they don't have planning permission ;-) | trader536
04/5/2021 10:31 | Hyper Al Couldn't tell you, just mention of it on lse board... | benjamin15
04/5/2021 10:29 | Yep very encouraging | calmtrader
04/5/2021 10:19 | benjamin15 Is that just talk or does it have the go ahead? Why do people complain about reopening a disused railway line? I mean it's not as if they are building it from new and disturbing the environment. Obviously best if it's electric powered. They could use some of that Anglesey wind. | hyper al
04/5/2021 10:00 | Looks like a rail link is being renopended which would Benefit Angelsey... | benjamin15
04/5/2021 09:52 | Zinc looks like breaking out as well now. | kermat
