21/4/2020 07:02 | The talk locally is the Welsh assembly government will be keen with the expected economic downturn to get the mine re-opened including the potential of a grant. Local assembly member Rhun ap Iorwerth is contactable via email. | danmart2
14/4/2020 13:33 | Update this year apparently... | benjamin15
03/3/2020 02:06 | Where's this alleged update? Either the postmans bike has broke or someone has lied to you | trader365
13/2/2020 08:24 | Update on its way I'm told | calmtrader
12/2/2020 21:02 | The QME studies were due to be complete by year end 2019, but AYM have released no news when one would have reasonably expected news by now. Maybe the ageing directors are suffering from alzheimer's? Perhaps concerned shareholders should alert the respective local health authorities to check the directors are still alive after drinking their AYM expenses? Not only are the directors getting older and richer but shareholders are ageing and getting poorer! Production has been speculated for 30 years, it still hasn't happened, why has it taken so long? Parys was once the largest copper mine in the world, the Parys dinosaurs began production faster than the current useless crowd | trader365
20/1/2020 18:18 | See this link ..not definitely restarting mining but they seem to making all the moves to do so..this is a very good bulletin boardhttps://investo | calmtrader
20/1/2020 14:29 | I can’t find any news about LIM starting back up do you have a link? | trader365
18/1/2020 10:36 | Trader365 yep agree i hold a decent chunk here @ just under 3p and was very pleased with the recent QME report showing potential 10m resource from 2.1m and the much longer life of mine..also throw into the ring that this could be Coppers year and it looks like Labrador is coming out of its mothballs + we have the swedish asset makes the share price look undervalued but of course none of this matters unless action is taken..the next couple of months will tell!! | calmtrader
18/1/2020 00:30 | One reason I'm hanging on here is because the directors have been here for decades and they're getting old, you'd think they would want to see a return for investors before they pop their clogs. I could be wrong tho. | trader365
16/1/2020 02:27 | The directors have grown old with the company, but I'm encouraged by your optimism | trader365
15/1/2020 20:51 | Trader that's unfair I'm hoping mining to start in 2039? | calmtrader
15/1/2020 19:13 | There should be news due here on the QME studies, it was extended last year and scheduled to be complete by end of 2019. "The second pass of design work by QME is ongoing with completion scheduled for the end of 2019" Are they going to drag this out for another 30 years? | trader365
02/1/2020 00:55 | They word them as 'expenses' | trader365
29/12/2019 12:05 | Director's don't draw salaries | calmtrader
08/10/2019 17:12 | I still think the adit down through the white rock is the best route but for some reason it was abandoned, maybe because the white rock is VERY hard, or did zinc price drop, I can't remember. I think the idea was to extract the zinc on the way down and that would cover cost of adit. An adit would also make access far easier for equipment and avoid the cost of a new pit head. | hyper al
03/10/2019 11:08 | This work QME are doing looks very promising increasing potential resources from 2.1m tonnes to 7m tonnes thereby vastly increases p/l and lifetime metrics and making funding the project much more attractive | calmtrader
03/10/2019 10:50 | Thanks so much Hyper and calmtrader. I do hope we see mining one day! but it's clearer to me now that that won't be any time soon. | rrr
03/10/2019 10:42 | Under the Joint Local Devlopment Plan on the mapping site at It states "Parys Mountain Metalliferous Safeguarding Area" and "Mineral Site Buffer Zone" So obviously the area is still allocated by the council for mine development. | hyper al
03/10/2019 10:30 | rrr sorry our posts are crossing. That may explain things. They probably have permission as part of the council structure plan, I believe councils bring them out every 10 years. It probably shows the Anglesey site on a map as allocated for mine development. So approval in principal, but years away from actual planning permission! I don't doubt they would get permission. I think the biggest problem will be mine water, if they can address that issue then that would be a great start. Would love to see the mine open! Fingers crossed for this next attempt. | hyper al
03/10/2019 10:23 | Calmtrader from "Following completion of the positive 2017 Scoping Study, Anglesey has been working to progress the Parys Mountain project towards production. The Study recommended further work as interim steps towards undertaking a feasibility study, including more detailed mine planning and design, more engineering studies, additional metallurgical test work and a review of tailings management and environmental and planning permissions, all of which will require new and further financing." It then later on suggests it has planning permission "The Parys Mountain property hosts a significant polymetallic zinc, copper, lead, silver and gold deposit. The site has a head frame, a 300m deep production shaft and planning permission for operations. " So contradiction within this report. I think the company should give more detail concerning this ongoing statement that they have permission for operations. When did the shaft last operate? I would have thought any planning for operations would have lapsed years ago. No application seems to appear on the planning portal, what was the approved application number? Does the old A frame meet modern requirements? For years the company has said it has permission for mining operations, but for decades I have seen no evidence to support that they still have or that they ever did have. Why does it not show on the planning portal (that shows all since 1947!)? where are all the press comments concerning planning consultations with local people? There is just no evidence. It would not be difficult to let us know what the application number is! Unless the company can show evidence in the form of a planning application number covering ongoing mining operations, I will continue to assume that it's an assumption that the company makes. They may have a government mining licence for the ground they cover (which can last for decades and be ongoing), but that is not the same as planning permission. Wolf Minerals and ScotGold planning is ALL in the public domain, it is only reasonable to assume that Anglesey Mining planning would also be. | hyper al
03/10/2019 10:07 | calmtrader: just seen your post - my link is to the 2019 Annual Report. Hyper: no idea about the office. | rrr
03/10/2019 10:05 | Hyper, thank you, that's very informative. I see what you are getting at. If you go to and search for 'permission' there are six occurrences. These suggest that there is an existing permission to mine, though also that further permissions will be needed. Perhaps this quote sums it up best: 'Permitting, environment and social The group holds planning permissions for the development of the Parys Mountain property but further environmental studies and assessments and various approvals and consents will be required to carry out proposed activities and these may be subject to various operational conditions and reclamation requirements.' | rrr
03/10/2019 09:56 | Please check the July 2018 Annual report it states there what planning permission is in place | calmtrader
03/10/2019 09:17 | Does Anglesey mining still have a fully manned office in the local community? | hyper al |
