27/6/2019 07:56 | we've all seen the news on the box about the weather in Europe. you don't need to be Einstein to figure out just what massive demand Sykes throughout Europe must be experiencing right now for their cooling/refrigeratio And this is just in June, before the normally hotter months of July and August arrive. Combined with the recent heavy rains and some flooding in the UK this month where their pumping business would have experienced strong demand, it looks to me like June will be an excellent/outstandin all imo. dyor. qp | quepassa
26/6/2019 10:08 | The UK has been pretty cool up to now but Europe is certainly taking up the slack. I think Europe accounts for 25% of trade. However, the depots are expanding so these record breaking temps should help them a lot. All the publicity isn't hurting either. | keithfox
26/6/2019 09:11 | " Heatwave Hell - Europe braced for soaring temperatures" FT p.7 26/6/19 Temperature records look set to be smashed in some European countries this week. Will stoke enormous demand for Sykes' aircon/refrigeration ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
24/6/2019 22:23 | Europe = Scorchio | phowdo
21/6/2019 10:05 | Some computer models are showing temps 30-35C over UK by middle of next week with chance of London nudging 100F. All of Europe at least as hot if not hotter. ASY going to start doing some serious trade. | keithfox
20/6/2019 15:48 | Looks like some hot weather on the way for a time, especially europe but London could get near 32C next week. | keithfox
20/6/2019 15:12 | Wonder to myself if globally acquisitive Xylem Inc would ever come sniffing. Xylem are certainly the Pacman of the water management/services/ ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
10/6/2019 19:31 | Think there's some flooding south of London already. | keithfox

03/6/2019 13:54 | New, larger depot opened in Kent due to high demand. | keithfox
23/5/2019 11:38 | I've seen that and don't necessarily agree re outlook. There have been been 'cautiously optimistic' outlooks in the past when the results weren't that brilliant so I am not so sure about reading that much into those words. However, last years first half were good so it was always going to be a hard act to follow. Most of the first half a/c business is done in June, so we shall see. Also, I know last year went down as an amazingly hot summer but if you look at the figures August ended up an average month with the hot spell petering out during the first week, so they could have done a lot better if it had stayed hot all summer. Hopefully it'll do that this year. | keithfox
23/5/2019 10:40 | There's a deep dive here with some very good insights: hxxps://maynardpaton | sharpish
21/5/2019 08:10 | Traded this morning at 699p (BUY) | quepassa
20/5/2019 08:16 | Whether you use the current mid-price of 675p or the offer price of 700p, Sykes has now hit a new ALL-TIME HIGH. New ATH for ASY. Excellent performance from this off-the-radar share. All imo. Dyor. QP | quepassa
13/5/2019 14:02 | Share price up 55p since Friday so not bad for a starter and I would prefer them to be sensible. It's all down to the gaffer really as he is the one that gets most of the div money. If he wants more it'll be paid out. They paid out a special div of nearly 30% once because he wanted some money to buy hotels. Is he still in the rich list by the way? | keithfox |
