MadIG have decided that they are going to go 100% margin required to cover positions by the end of next week and closing only 30 days later on 100s of stocks.This is my understanding anyway, but I don't spread bet so don't understand the ins and outs, but would imagine the majority of IG trades are long, so people who are unable to cover the 100% margin will be forced to sell. Could lead to short term volatility until this sorts itself out, unless of course IG have pre-warned their clients. There has been weakness in many stocks over the last couple of weeks, and this could explain it.I would like to point you at the AAZ thread entitled "wanobi and AAZ" (Best thread on advfn imo) where I asked a few questions today and got some decent answers.There is also a link on there with the companies affected

I lost interest in this having been a holder since Putin signed the original license.I should have sold then.
Does anyone know what the value of resource is in the ground on current Nickel prices?
I read an earlier post that every usd above 12 usd would add 100m of income annually.
So Nickel about 20 usd therefore net income should be 800m usd per annum.
On a pe of 10 that's 8 billion usd but the market cap is 25m.
Alternatively if they mine 100k tons per annum at a price of 20, 000 usd per ton that's
2 billion income per annum.
At a margin of 40% I get to the 800m usd value again.
They reckon on producing 40,000 tonnes per annum so again about 800m usd
Resource of 155m tons gives about 25 billion usd of nickel reserve.

Three boards on the go here, is this the best one to use at the moment?Anyway, added to my historical holding (why didn't I sell them at 44p lol) late Friday.I still have huge reservations about the management, as I've banged on about in the past, but the resources they have in the ground "trumps" that for me now.That, coupled with the march towards EV and the infrastructure required for it, means that the resources are massively in demand and AMC are ripe to be taken over. For example, Tesla made more profit on bitcoin than they did selling vehicles over the last 12 months so they have loads of cash sloshing about, Elon Musk has said they can't put their truck into production because they can't source enough raw materials for the batteries, Musk has mused about buying mines to alleviate this problem in the future and its not a massive leap to see how AMC as an attractive proposition for these sort of companies and /or Tier 1 miners.As some of the long term holders may recall, EUA has been a life changer for me. Is AMC the next monster? My bet is that it'll be taken out as I'm not convinced the management have the capability to bring it to production.....but maybe that last statement is the historical baggage I carry around with me from this share.GLA

Silver prices skyrocketed on Monday, touching a five-month high, after a Reddit army that drove up GameStop shares switched focus to metals.

Silver prices rose by 15 per cent since closing on Wednesday after small-time traders bought en masse, following a message on Reddit calling users to buy heavy metals to challenge mighty Wall Street hedge funds in a bizarre trading battle.

Reddit-propelled stock buying drove silver as much as 7 per cent to $28.99 an ounce, its highest value since mid-August.

Retail sites and coin-selling sites, however, warned customers that there could be delays in meeting the unprecedented surging demand for silver bars and coins.
