There appears to be a big disconnect between the current AMYT sp and the proposed US$60m placing @ 148p scheduled for when the Aegerion takeover is concluded later this month. This 148p proposed placing price is approximately 40% higher than the current sp. Something is not right. Either the current sp is undervalued by 40%, or the placing price is overvalued by 40%!! I can't see anyone, apart from the Aegerion bondholders, being prepared to pay 148p for new AMYT shares. Fortunately that US$60m placing @ 148p appears to be supported by those taking part in the placing. However I wonder where the AMYT sp will settle once the placing is out of the way. I suspect closer to the 40% lower current sp pending the proposed listing on Nasdaq. bwtfdik?
I presume, webpax, that the "within 90 days of closing" refers to within 90 days of the Aegerion takeover being closed? In other words within 90 days of the 24th September, the provisional date for the AEgerion takeover deal to be finalised? tia
I have news for you, digadee. The Aegerion takeover deal HASN'T yet gone through, digadee! I'm hopeful it will (it looks to be a certainty it will), but I never count my chickens until they are hatched. I always accept that nothing in life is ever guaranteed. PS. alphabravo's recent post concerning the American court approval for the takeover made it 99% certain it would happen IMO, digadee. Unlike you (?) I base my opinions on the facts. I also NEVER ramp a share I'm invested in, so I prefer to take a more considered view of the future. I may be bullish on AMYT, but I don't want to be thought of as a RAMPER!
My understanding is that the share capital consolidation will take place tomorrow but that the share itself will remain suspended pending the outcome of the takeover
mdalos1 28 Jun '19 - 11:14 - 4618 of 4618 0 0 0 LOLS... and how exactly can AMRYT be suspended anyway if it's really acquiring AEG ?? I've said it before... it's AMRYT that is being acquired in a roundabout way... the whole transaction is smoke & mirrors to allow the US Parent to write-off $100s of millions of Debt/Losses and AMRYT is being used as the vehicle to make it happen, with a US Majority Shareholder "acquiring" AMRYT. By the time this has all unfolded, for better or for worse, little old AMRYT will also have overcome the little matter of the AP101 Trial dragging on even longer than its latest extension, because the whole acquisition/merger/reverse takeover debacle will take precedence well beyond October. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The oracle has spoken! :-)
Before he deletes them! mdalos1 - 13 Jun 2019 - 18:59:43 - 4567 of 4568 Amryt Pharma - AMYT You happy with losing 66% of your large holding when the time comes then ABC-123 ? That sounds like a "large" 66% to me !! mdalos1 - 13 Jun 2019 - 18:02:04 - 4565 of 4568 Amryt Pharma - AMYT Another poor performance (worsening) to Dec 2018 6-12 months of the same and it would be raising large amounts via the begging bowl again. Conveniently the proposed takeover/acquisition/merger/reverse takeover will fill that begging bowl nicely but with existing UK AIM PIs diluted significantly. Expecting a further "Business Transformation" plan to be announced beyond the Business re-entering Markets. I think we could get seriously shafted :-(
Seeing he'll soon delete it I've taken the liberty of copying and pasting mdalos's post. Make of it what you will mdalos1 - 12 Jun 2019 - 09:14:29 - 4549 of 4551 Amryt Pharma - AMYT Share consolidation, reduction in shares in issue BUT company funds being used to take them out of circulation, ultimately we'll need to try to associate the approx. 16% of shares in issue left in circulation with the dubious numbers already being touted by the takeover/acquisition/merger/reverse takeover activities to fathom where we might stand when the Business returns to Market !!!! 50% chance we're going to lose out 50% chance of a one-time, brief opportunity to benefit
Of course the BIG difference between this AMYT takeover of Aegerion (RTO) and the Amicus takeover of Socioderm is that AMYT are NOT on the receiving end of a takeover bid, unlike Socioderm. Aegerion are being taken over. It's a big shame that AMYT haven't been on the end of a takeover bid. That was what Cathal Friel was predicting back in May 2016 would happen to AMYT in two years time (summer 2018). It was what I was hoping for as well. Was no one that interested in AP101 to make them bid for AMYT? It does look like that. PS I'll be very, very, disappointed (gutted in fact!) if the promised US$60m placing, promised at a 20% discount to the estimated value of AMYT, doesn't happen in accordance with the 21st May RNS. That would mean a placing price of 27.5p. 27.5p would be around double what I paid for my shares.
