11/6/2019 14:34 | Bronxville Posts: 1,117 Opinion: No Opinion Price: 12.375 Open Orphan Today 13:46 I figured my punt would payoff.. Nice little earner in at 1.74 out at 5.30..Will keep some for interest.. Venn Life have some decent revenues(15 mil) Cathal Friel will cut the fat I guess They also own 42 million shares of Integumen (SKIN) worth €1million.. >>>>> Congratulations are in order, Bronxville. Well done on your very successful punt on VENN. I believe you have done the right thing by selling most of your shares today. I hope my £2.8k punt on AMYT (23k+ shares) is as equally successful when AMYT eventually relists, hopefully sometime in October. | papillon
11/6/2019 12:54 | Yes, alphabravo, VENN is up around 90% on relisting. It's today's biggest riser after getting a placing away at 5.6p. The share price is currently 5p. Is it defying gravity, I wonder? I think that might be the case. After all AMYT shares were placed at 24p back in early summer 2016p, but around 6 months later it had drifted down to around 14p before the good news released in December 2016 pushed the share price back up towards the placing price. Open Orphan has effectively RTO'd into VENN. VENN have issued just over 100m shares priced at 5.6p to purchase Open Orphan. I can't see that Open Orphan is anything more than a shell with no apparent tangible assets apart from Cathal Friel! | papillon
11/6/2019 08:28 | Nice stroke from Cathal F over at Venn... | alphabravo321
09/6/2019 13:25 | I missed that post, MADLOSS, as you'd already deleted it! What's the point of posting if you delete it before anyone has a chance of reading it? It's like secret agents writing messages in invisible ink to evade detection, Strange behaviour. LOLs | papillon

07/6/2019 11:46 | Of course the BIG difference between this AMYT takeover of Aegerion (RTO) and the Amicus takeover of Socioderm is that AMYT are NOT on the receiving end of a takeover bid, unlike Socioderm. Aegerion are being taken over. It's a big shame that AMYT haven't been on the end of a takeover bid. That was what Cathal Friel was predicting back in May 2016 would happen to AMYT in two years time (summer 2018). It was what I was hoping for as well. Was no one that interested in AP101 to make them bid for AMYT? It does look like that. PS I'll be very, very, disappointed (gutted in fact!) if the promised US$60m placing, promised at a 20% discount to the estimated value of AMYT, doesn't happen in accordance with the 21st May RNS. That would mean a placing price of 27.5p. 27.5p would be around double what I paid for my shares. | papillon
06/6/2019 22:00 | If I'd have known that this RTO was on the cards I'd have gambled and bought more than 21k to add to my existing 2k, digadee. Perhaps another 48k. Unfortunately I didn't know this deal was about to happen (it came out of the blue) and as the share was suspended as soon as the deal was announced I can't buy more now. The deal looks good for AMYT shareholders even if I think Joe Wiley is empire building. Nothing wrong with empire building if the share price is significantly higher, when it relists, than the suspension price. That's all that interests me. However I'm greedy and believe that compared to what Amicus offered to Socioderm for Zorblisa AMYT shareholders have been short changed over AP101. Socioderm shareholders received an upfront payment that didn't depend on Zorblisa being successful (it wasn't). AMYT shareholders are not being offered an upfront payment for AP101. Also compared with what Socioderm shareholders were being offered for a successful Zorblisa the US$85m being offered to AMYT shareholders for a successful AP101 seems less than generous. Okay I may be being greedy and nit picking if the placing price for the proposed US$60m placing is, as the RNS implies, 27.5p, plus another 42p (in cash, or shares) if AP101 is successful (fingers crossed). In conclusion, digadee, I'm pleased I bought back into AMYT recently and I'm sorry now I didn't buy more, but that's all with the benefit of hindsight. Just because I'm being greedy and quibbling about the money for AP101, digadee, doesn't mean I'm disappointed with the takeover of Aegerion. Don't assume that because I'm not entirely happy with the terms for AP101 that I'm not a shareholder (technically I'm not because my shares are held in a online broker nominee a/c!). Have you no critical faculties? It sounds like you haven't! | papillon
06/6/2019 16:27 | I hold a few but seriously reduced a while back as I became extremely bored with AMYT. I do of course realise that this could be a losing strategy! Have to say also that I don’t understand the proposed deal well enough to form a view as to whether it is good or bad! I’m clearly a daft gambler as opposed to being a well informed and patient investor! | bazworth
06/6/2019 16:20 | or claim to hold | digadee
06/6/2019 16:19 | all doom and gloom from some on here, look like whatever the BOD does is just not good enough, wonder why some even hold | digadee
06/6/2019 16:08 | 2 biggest percentage fallers today are 2 AIM listed biotech "dogs", MTFB and IMM. You can add biotechs to O&G shares as 2 of the worst AIM listed sectors over the years! Can AMYT buck the trend? The odds are stacked against it, but miracles do happen if only very rarely | papillon
05/6/2019 16:37 | You must be D'Artagnan then, alphabravo! D'Artagnan and the three musketeers! | papillon
04/6/2019 23:39 | I am in for the long haul too! Come what may | alphabravo321
04/6/2019 21:47 | We mustn't forget you, bazworth. Are we the 3 musketeers, or the 3 stooges? Until AMYT relists I've written off my £2.8k investment. Then I'm going to be a happy bunny whatever the price it returns at! LOL. | papillon
04/6/2019 19:14 | No, I'm here!! Well done you two!! | bazworth |
