Regarding my holding in AMYT, I'll see what happens this week regarding the newsflow and share price, then I'll make a decision on what to do with my 27,215 shares. What to do with my core holding (20k) and the 7,215 I bought recently because the share price was resting on, or near, strong support. Big news is around 6 months away (AP101 interim results) unless there is another Lojuxta type deal announced in the meantime and how likely is that? ATB.

PS Weather forecast looking good for the rest of the week. Hoping that the virus that has been lingering on for the last week finally decides to sling it's hook and I can get out and do some gardening; My garden needs some TLC at the moment and I'm getting fed up of moping around and posting on advfn bb's out of boredom! :-)

Well I've recently taken the plunge. I'm now a tiny shareholder in both PVR & LOGP. The PVR chart is looking very interesting. There is strong chart resistance at circa 18-18.5p. I see the PVR share price testing that 18-18.5p resistance sometime this year.

There is an approaching Bullish "Golden Cross" (50 day EMA rising above an already rising 200 day EMA) on the PVR chart (there has been a Bullish "Golden Cross" on the LOGP since early January).

Whilst news drives share prices the chart does show current investor appetite for a particular share and the PVR chart shows there is currently definitely an appetite for PVR shares amongst investors and as the recent appearance of Kite Lake as holding more than 3% far more importantly shows, there is an appetite for PVR amongst big investors.

EDIT: There is also some weaker chart resistance @ circa 15p

I agree Paps, he took a massive gamble putting so much into the trade and it didn't work out. In fairness he made it all back on another trade shortly afterwards but he might as well be trading Cryptos at the level of risk he takes on! haha

What is your target price for PVR Paps? I might put a tiny bit of money into it!

There is oil in the Barryroe offshore oil field, greendragon. There have been a number of "successful" wells drilled on Barryroe (5 in total) since Exxon (Esso) drilled the first in the early 70's. Yes, PVR's exploration wells on a number of offshore Irish licenses have, without exception, proved disastrous for those gambling on them coming up trumps. Not surprising really as exploration wells often only have a 10% Chance of Success (CoS). I'm not gambling on an exploration well; I'm gambling on 3 appraisal wells on Barryroe. However I wont lose a "lot of dough" because I'm only gambling a few £k (max) on PVR & LOGP. I think your friend was extremely unwise to bet "a lot of dough" on an exploration well. Like betting your life savings and house on a rank outsider in the Grand National.







PS. PVR drilled a successful appraisal well on Barryroe in H1 2012. It's taken them a long time to farm out Barryroe and many are not that impressed with the lack of generosity of the proposed farm out deal, but beggars can't be choosers!

Good luck with the punt on PVR & LOGP Paps. I haven't been following them but I know someone who lost a lot of dough on PVR. He rolled the dice on the drill but came up dry. Hopefully it'll come good though if they can strike some black gold! 😃

I've had a couple of small punts in LOGP & PVR within the last 2 weeks, greendragon. I like a gamble now and again!! PVR/LOGP have finally managed to get a farm in farm partner for the Barryroe oil field offshore Co Cork, Ireland. The LOGP chart went Bullish (IMO) early in January with a "Golden Cross" formation (50 day EMA rising above an already rising 200 day EMA) whilst the PVR chart is on the threshold of a similar Bullish "Golden Cross" formation. There is strong resistance on the PVR chart at circa 18-18.5p so I'm hopeful that that resistance might be retested sometime this year. Will it? Who knows? News drives share prices, but news not expected until later this year. At the moment both the PVR & LOGP charts show an increased investor appetite for both shares. Will that also be the case after the next news? Who knows?

By the same measure the AMYT chart is currently Bearish, IMO, due to a "Death Cross" (50 day EMA dropping below an already falling 200 day EMA) forming on the chart on October. However the AMYT share price is just above strong support at 17.3p, which might hold. There is strong chart resistance at 20.3p. Let's see what happens to the share price after the next RNS. As you say, greendragon, probably tomorrow. Unfortunately the September placing killed investor appetite for AMYT. Let's hope the 2017 results RNS & Wednesday's presentation can rekindle that investor appetite. :-)

Haha....I defo won't be setting the alarm clock Paps! 😁 You would imagine they'd want the full year results out ahead of Wednesday's presentation so should be tomorrow really. As you say, probably won't contain anything new but we'll see.

Yes IOTA was the best performers of the recent uptick but it'll be towards the end of the summer before they advance some of their tech. I'm still in it for the long haul so don't pay to much attention to short term prices movements. There are some very interesting cryptos coming down if track....the industry is evolving at breakneck speeds!

The above is from last month's "Trading update & Gene therapy agreement" RNS.

So sometime this week and probably early in the week; possibly Monday?

I somehow expect you wont be setting your alarm clock, greendragon, for before 7am tomorrow seeing as last month's update has almost made the 2017 Final results a non event! :-)

Yet another company presentation scheduled for Wednesday. None of the previous ones have had any effect on the share price Still there's almost a first time. :-)

EDIT. Your IOTA, crypotcurrency, did very well last week, greendragon. Up over 60% from the recent low.

I have chart support @ 17.3p and chart resistance @ 20.3p.

I expect 2017 final results to be issued early next week (promised mid April in last months update RNS). Probably Monday, or Tuesday?

I don't expect any great interest in these 2017 final results because the financial information (unaudited) was basically released in the update RNS of last month (15/3/2018). Unless there is another Lojuxta type licensing deal announced in the meantime (low probabilty?) I expect the AMYT share price to flatline until the interim AP101 results are (hopefully) released in early Q4 2018. Obviously I hope I'm wrong and the share price can get above my 20.3p chart resistance during the next 6 months.

Just 4 trades today. A paltry total of just 38,892 shares, though one of those 4 trades was a buy of 28,214 @ 17.70p. The imminent 2017 Final Results doesn't appear to be generating much excitement!

RNS could be tomorrow, but I hope not as it's Friday 13th!! RNS far more likely to be early next week; Monday 16th seems favourite to me.
