Not angry DH. Dismayed by what is clearly, and beyond all doubt, the wrong decision.

I don't think each "believer" is going to convince the other with these kind of debates.
It does seem that the remoaners seem more 'angry' to me though …. just an observation like.

The Greeks are always blaming somebody else. Today its the EU, yesterday the euro, the day before it was the Germans, and before that the ECB. Bless them!
They have suffered of late, for a start somebody has suggested that they should pay some tax! Absurd or what?
And now they can't retire on full pay at 39. How will they cope?
Lovely country though. Just back myself.

Typical nah-nah-de-nah-nah response as, judging by your last paragraph, you've now got your hands clapped around your ears like a spoilt child!

Just back from Greece where they have rather a different view of the halcyon Europe you portray but why let the truth get in the way of your own narrative eh?

I was going to keep quiet, and I'd suggest we all try and remember that this is the AEX board, not the I'm voting UKIP board!

But this sort of stuff is ridiculous:How anyone can, even now, want to stay in the bullying, cowardly state of the EU is beyond me but, hey ho, some people get a kick out of being kicked!!

The EU have always been perfectly clear that the single market is not divisible, and made that clear before May first came up with her plan. Anyone who listened knew that. And why would that not be the case? The EU members (unlike the UK) are well aware of the benefits of the EU and they are in no mood to undermine them. And why would anyone expect them to for a country that has decided it doesn't want to be part of it? The UK has had special deal after special deal from the EU while a member. We had our cake and ate it. If we are now going to leave, why should the EU be expected to make yet more special deals and undermine the keystone of their success for the benefit of a country that lifted two fingers to them? And one that has ministers who keep saying - "oh it doesn't matter what we agree with the EU now we'll change it later if we want".

The UK has behaved like a spoilt brat the whole way through the process from the referendum, putting forward impossible solutions, being told they are not acceptable, ignoring the answers and then crying foul when the it's finally impossible to ignore it any longer. Now 2 years on and 6 months from exit we still have a govt with no clear view on what Brexit means (except "Brexit"!). The problem in these negotiations has alway been with the UK, and not the EU. Our government is making us an embarrassment that can't be trusted to negotiate sensibly - not a great start to the supposed global "future"

And don't be too surprised if I manage to remember the title this board in future and don't respond to any responses.

I agree but shame she hasn't been that strong from the off eh?

How anyone can, even now, want to stay in the bullying, cowardly state of the EU is beyond me but, hey ho, some people get a kick out of being kicked!!

Suggest that any doubters read Yanis Varoufakis's book: Adults in the Room which shows the cowardly and bullying nature of the EU only to well, particularly of Macron who was France's Finance Minister at that time, selling out everything including his integrity to the Fourth Reich of Angela Merkel.

That said, Greece we are not!!!!

no bun, Russia wants Brexit, ie; a weaker Europe. They thought they wanted Trump, but have probably changed their minds now, but fascism? where did that come into it bun.

I think the problem is that there is a widespread anti-Brexit/anti-Trump/anti-fascism agenda being insidiously pushed by the press, academics and experts. This is also being seen on social media and ADVFN is a part of that. The question is - who is funding this? Russia?

What road rage? Everyone is being relatively nice here. It's a good thread. I'm not going to apologise for the DUP's no deal brexit.

Please can we stop with the politics and the offensive posts. Please.

I felt really irritated yesterday at what seemed to me to be rude and aggressive posts on the subject of Brexit.

I wasted a good half hour on a rebuttal and then thought better of it. There really is no point. Nobody is going to change their mind on the basis of a slanging match on an ADVFN thread. Nobody is going to have a better, more productive, more fulfilling day as a result of reading comments dripping with aggression and bitterness.

And frankly it's not what anyone comes to ADVFN for, is it?

So can we just park the Brexit and Trump discussions and focus on Aminex and things that affect Aminex, like the oil price or the politics of Tanzania. And if that leaves the board much less busy then that's not a bad thing.

Can I also suggest that when we are away from this thread, instead of demonising people who disagree with us, we all try listening and understanding the counter-arguments and treating other people with civility and respect. That's surely better than the road rage type of behaviour displayed in so many internet discussions.
