22/9/2018 00:44 | History will prove you wrong Blackgold. Very wrong. | skinwalker
22/9/2018 00:43 | I was in the City yesterday DH. Lots there talking loudly and excitedly about not very much. Is that your world? | skinwalker
21/9/2018 23:05 | "the wrong decision." ? obviously not for the majority, thoes that voted to leave in that democratic referendum. anyway skin, history will be the judge. | blackgold00
21/9/2018 22:44 | Not angry DH. Dismayed by what is clearly, and beyond all doubt, the wrong decision. | skinwalker
21/9/2018 21:36 | 69505 lol. I don't think each "believer" is going to convince the other with these kind of debates. It does seem that the remoaners seem more 'angry' to me though …. just an observation like. | dunderheed
21/9/2018 21:32 | Peter would it help if I made a post rebutting your arguments? or shall I grit my teeth and ignore your comments? shall we escalate our disagreements or try to get along? T | tournesol
21/9/2018 19:38 | LT agree with your posts buddy!! | dunderheed
21/9/2018 18:28 | The Greeks are always blaming somebody else. Today its the EU, yesterday the euro, the day before it was the Germans, and before that the ECB. Bless them! They have suffered of late, for a start somebody has suggested that they should pay some tax! Absurd or what? And now they can't retire on full pay at 39. How will they cope? Lovely country though. Just back myself. | skinwalker
21/9/2018 18:16 | Peter, I think we are just killing time, waiting for the farm-out news from dear old Aminex, hopefully this BB will be back on topic next week. : ) for those interested Brexit: a cry from the Irish border | blackgold00
21/9/2018 16:57 | Peter Typical nah-nah-de-nah-nah response as, judging by your last paragraph, you've now got your hands clapped around your ears like a spoilt child! Just back from Greece where they have rather a different view of the halcyon Europe you portray but why let the truth get in the way of your own narrative eh? LT | last throw
21/9/2018 16:24 | I was going to keep quiet, and I'd suggest we all try and remember that this is the AEX board, not the I'm voting UKIP board! But this sort of stuff is ridiculous:How anyone can, even now, want to stay in the bullying, cowardly state of the EU is beyond me but, hey ho, some people get a kick out of being kicked!! The EU have always been perfectly clear that the single market is not divisible, and made that clear before May first came up with her plan. Anyone who listened knew that. And why would that not be the case? The EU members (unlike the UK) are well aware of the benefits of the EU and they are in no mood to undermine them. And why would anyone expect them to for a country that has decided it doesn't want to be part of it? The UK has had special deal after special deal from the EU while a member. We had our cake and ate it. If we are now going to leave, why should the EU be expected to make yet more special deals and undermine the keystone of their success for the benefit of a country that lifted two fingers to them? And one that has ministers who keep saying - "oh it doesn't matter what we agree with the EU now we'll change it later if we want". The UK has behaved like a spoilt brat the whole way through the process from the referendum, putting forward impossible solutions, being told they are not acceptable, ignoring the answers and then crying foul when the it's finally impossible to ignore it any longer. Now 2 years on and 6 months from exit we still have a govt with no clear view on what Brexit means (except "Brexit"!). The problem in these negotiations has alway been with the UK, and not the EU. Our government is making us an embarrassment that can't be trusted to negotiate sensibly - not a great start to the supposed global "future" And don't be too surprised if I manage to remember the title this board in future and don't respond to any responses. Peter | greyingsurfer
21/9/2018 15:15 | dunderheed I agree but shame she hasn't been that strong from the off eh? How anyone can, even now, want to stay in the bullying, cowardly state of the EU is beyond me but, hey ho, some people get a kick out of being kicked!! Suggest that any doubters read Yanis Varoufakis's book: Adults in the Room which shows the cowardly and bullying nature of the EU only to well, particularly of Macron who was France's Finance Minister at that time, selling out everything including his integrity to the Fourth Reich of Angela Merkel. That said, Greece we are not!!!! LT | last throw
21/9/2018 15:15 | yes Dunder good speech, clear and concise, the EU should now know exactly where the UK stands | blackgold00
21/9/2018 14:40 | Good speech by May actually. | dunderheed
21/9/2018 13:48 | bg - not heard of that fascist-minded anti-free speech group, ironically called ANTIFA? LT | last throw
21/9/2018 13:31 | no bun, Russia wants Brexit, ie; a weaker Europe. They thought they wanted Trump, but have probably changed their minds now, but fascism? where did that come into it bun. | blackgold00
21/9/2018 13:16 | I think the problem is that there is a widespread anti-Brexit/anti-Tru | bunbooster2
21/9/2018 11:19 | What road rage? Everyone is being relatively nice here. It's a good thread. I'm not going to apologise for the DUP's no deal brexit. | gerryjames
21/9/2018 11:08 | Please can we stop with the politics and the offensive posts. Please. I felt really irritated yesterday at what seemed to me to be rude and aggressive posts on the subject of Brexit. I wasted a good half hour on a rebuttal and then thought better of it. There really is no point. Nobody is going to change their mind on the basis of a slanging match on an ADVFN thread. Nobody is going to have a better, more productive, more fulfilling day as a result of reading comments dripping with aggression and bitterness. And frankly it's not what anyone comes to ADVFN for, is it? So can we just park the Brexit and Trump discussions and focus on Aminex and things that affect Aminex, like the oil price or the politics of Tanzania. And if that leaves the board much less busy then that's not a bad thing. Can I also suggest that when we are away from this thread, instead of demonising people who disagree with us, we all try listening and understanding the counter-arguments and treating other people with civility and respect. That's surely better than the road rage type of behaviour displayed in so many internet discussions. | tournesol
21/9/2018 10:53 | 1p here we come | deanroberthunt
21/9/2018 10:24 | "apologies for referring to an underclass - I didn't want to appear like so many patronising remoaners with that" "What I meant was a population of people who are on benefits or reliant on benefits to survive, generally poorly educated through no fault of their won" "what nedeth wordes mo?" | warbaby43
21/9/2018 10:23 | I think he said in September blackgold, but as always that should be expected to be the end of. | onedaysoonmaybe |
