30/6/2017 09:38 | yes agree, a tick up for you Peter | blackgold00
30/6/2017 09:19 | The Bill on natural wealth and resources reads:......The bill is clearly aimed at resource companies who, it is claimed, are exporting without declaring the full value of what they extract. Whether there is any truth in that I won't get involved in discussing, but the key issue for AEX is that it's an entirely domestic producer, selling gas directly at the well head to TPDC, completely transparently. It is therefore clearly not the intended target of the new law. That doesn't mean that AEX couldn't suffer from negative sentiment arising from it, but it's very unlikely to be directly affected.Peter | greyingsurfer
30/6/2017 08:04 | Haggis I prefer the theory that he blew the N3 cash on the helium project If true he has put his licence at risk and AEX are being very decent in waiting for him to raise funds | edgar222
30/6/2017 08:01 | The Bill on natural wealth and resources reads: "Where the government has served notice of intention to re-negotiate the arrangement or agreement ...and the other party fails to agree to re-negotiate the unconscionable terms or no agreement is reached ...such terms shall cease to have effect and shall by treated as having been expunged." "It defines "unconscionable terms" as anything that is "contrary to good conscience and the enforceability of which jeopardises the interests of the people" of Tanzania." | blackgold00
30/6/2017 07:22 | Edgar, maybe he's just baulking at having to raise cash for 3D seismic and a deeper N3 well with a potentially more costly rig, as he hadn't been planning for that? But he seems from yesterday's RNS to have come round to that. | haggismchaggis
30/6/2017 06:59 | In no way can that be construed as good news | dan_the_epic
30/6/2017 06:07 | "The Tanzanian government submitted three Bills to Parliament on Thursday which would allow it to force mining and energy companies to renegotiate the terms of their contracts as part of a presidential drive to increase revenue." Oh crumbs! | bunbooster2
29/6/2017 20:16 | Edgar, maybe he thinks that making daft decisions and walking away from the huge potential in Ruvuma would show he's on a par with the directors of Tullow! :-D | haggismchaggis
29/6/2017 18:58 | And no-one has been harsh on Neil Ritson. Chief of value destruction, he should not be an investing company CEO. More embarassing are the SOLO board; useless sack of potatoes that they cannot see that | dan_the_epic
29/6/2017 18:57 | Maybe,, just maybe... It's not coming good... How long until the penny drops | dan_the_epic
29/6/2017 16:58 | Fwiw I have thought for years that people have been harsh on Neil Ritson. But his stated aim of bailing out of Ruvuma just as it is coming good does make me question his judgment.Crazy policy. For a few more months and a relatively small further investment they can be part of the real unlocking of value here. | edgar222
29/6/2017 16:51 | Yes Edgar,"In the immediate future the Board consider it prudent to ensure it has the capability to further invest in the Ruvuma, Horse Hill and Kiliwani North assets to protect value and maximise the overall return on our investment to date. Whilst a farm-out or sale of the Ntorya gas-condensate field is planned it may be necessary to defend the asset value through further investment in studies, seismic and drilling should the Tanzanian authorities or the operator require further work to be conducted in the near term." | haggismchaggis
29/6/2017 16:15 | anyone in china new energy?...will 2 bag tomoro on results CNEL | temmujin
29/6/2017 16:03 | Solo RNS Looks like they are staying the course in Ruvuma | edgar222
29/6/2017 09:18 | sort of O/T but it has/does impacted us all, i think the nature of the beast is beginning to be revealed. listen and absorb | blackgold00
29/6/2017 07:37 | Who said AEX had sh1t assets? | ngms27
28/6/2017 21:51 | foolsandcows, AEX following "Buying into listed UK entities opportunities and challenges"I guess you could speculate til the cows come home! | haggismchaggis
28/6/2017 21:19 | TipTop has taken to his bed suffering from prolonged chronic rampitis - poor chap, almost certainly incurable | skinwalker
28/6/2017 19:43 | IPO and listing: Views from the market. 9:30 Mr. Jay Bhattacherjee, CEO, Aminex plc Speculation? | foolsandcows
28/6/2017 15:55 | Haggis, you're an ignoramus. CrustyPete is probably the most respected poster on the LSE AEX bb. Even Tiptop and he are good friends as evidenced by the major drinking session they had in Dublin (along with several others) from the same bb. They have also met up in the UK and had a great time. Only a complete moron with chronic rampitis* would suggest he is "shorting or trying to keep the price down while he accumulates." CrustyPete is an open book on his dealings and is honest to a fault. If he makes a mistake he openly acknowledges it. *Chronic rampitis causes stupidity, paranoia, a crazed obsession with being right even when everyone can see you're wrong. In really bad cases it causes sufferers to pretend to filter lots of people when it's painfully obvious the sufferer is hanging on every word written, and then tries to make his replies look like random posts. Chronic rampitis sufferers are considered pathetic as it's their own fault. Nevertheless, they are tolerated for their unintentional entertainment value. | kevjones2
28/6/2017 11:54 | From here on, I'm coining the term 'Fake facts' | dan_the_epic
28/6/2017 11:28 | Whilst the unbridled optimism is almost tangible over on lse, there is one poster, "crustypete", who is invariably well grounded and has a no-nonsense style similar to your good self. No relation (though the name could fit!). When I've seen his posts I've thought they were often sensible - though of course with a name like Pete that's only to be expected :-) Peter | greyingsurfer |
