03/5/2017 09:20 | haggis-You are ruining what was always a good thread, humorous and informative. As you have filtered all those who disagree with you, why not go and make your own thread and leave us in peace? | pj 1
03/5/2017 09:13 | This is still the same company it was prior to PT dumping his holding, same assets, same revenues, same cash and debt, same upside that saw it reach 7p, same management, same need for raising cash after N3 is drilled, the only reason for the drop are a distressed seller and a gang of shorters (those doing the scaremongering). | haggismchaggis
03/5/2017 09:03 | LT, another thing about the reply email, nothing was said about a known distressed seller. So AEX must know via the house broker that there is a big seller, likely they also know or guess it's PT. Hence no RNS to say "We know no reason for the drop" and no comment in the email to that effect. | haggismchaggis

03/5/2017 08:59 | 4p gone. FFS | slepy
03/5/2017 08:59 | Kryptonsnake, I have a feeling we will be back above 5p within 2-3 months, as PT will have sold his holding soon, the MM's will let their shorting buddies know so the shorts will be closed, then N3 will be spudded. | haggismchaggis
03/5/2017 08:49 | thanks last throw | blackgold00
03/5/2017 08:49 | If you are long term here then it's probably best to switch off for a while. That's what I'm doing. Got a feeling we will be in a much better position by the end of this year. | kryptonsnake
03/5/2017 08:43 | Thanks LT ;-) So this reply goes with what I said earlier about AEX, no reason to drop on or after consolidation (just a big seller and a gang of shorters to clear), that Institutional Investors want less shares in issue, that Zubair and Jay want to build AEX into a huge African O&G producer. We already know AEX will need cash after N3, we have known that since the last fundraising, so the consolidation hasn't changed the future funding needs at all.If they are currently looking at buying some African producing assets, they would have announced that alongside the consolidation or with an EGM to vote on the issue of more stock to pay for the acquisition, so they are clearly not close to buying anything. To me the consolidation has a sound basis, it does not alter AEX's funding plans going forward. Anyone that sold because they were scared of the consolidation are very dim, but lucky in that they can now buy back cheaper thanks to PT dumping his holding and causing the price to drop further. | haggismchaggis
03/5/2017 08:38 | GD, it always has been for whoever bought 5+ years ago. Long term or sell at a big loss. | slepy
03/5/2017 08:37 | LT, I am not gloating on the fact I got out. But your absolutely correct AEX are now long term. As Arnie once said "I will be back". Sincerely GLA, GD | greatfull dead
03/5/2017 08:36 | hoping 3p will! | pembury
03/5/2017 08:36 | The fall has only begun. There are too many punters in this stock who wants to get out. Valuation support down at 2p, that is 50% downside from here. | lowflow
03/5/2017 08:34 | 4p isn't going to hold :( | slepy
03/5/2017 08:34 | Again, Haggis. Agreed. Thanks LT. | edgar222

03/5/2017 08:26 | Hi all I received a prompt reply to my email - not from JB but a guy at Camarco: "Jay Bhattacherjee has forwarded me you email as he is travelling. It is worth noting that the Company is financially robust and will likely be a debt free producing company around Summer time which I think you will agree will be a remarkable achievement and not something many other E&Ps can say in this market. In terms of the consolidation, it was requested and supported by the two bigger shareholders who along with management are looking to grow the Company into a large business. I hope this helps. All best," Bad spelling and grammar so obviously typed in a hurry but what the heck it's a reply! Neutral to positive I'd say BUT definitely long term!! LT | last throw
03/5/2017 08:25 | Edgar, true, but that risk has always been there, it's in the Annual Report every time. Consolidation isn't required for a company to issue more stock, usually they can go up to 100% of the issued stock. If they've already issued loads of stock and need to issue more than what's available, they can either have the limit raised again at an AGM or an EGM, by shareholder vote. | haggismchaggis
03/5/2017 08:22 | Dropping like a stone, looks like they want this below 4p. Question is, how much below? | kryptonsnake
03/5/2017 08:22 | Got out earlier. Not an easy decision, lost 31% of my investment. GLA, GD | greatfull dead |
