Who cares what the market thinks today.... they've clearly discovered a significant asset, the size of which will come clear in coming weeks/months (relatively a very very short time for many long term holders here! - Korea was the original prize!!)

Neil Ritson, Solo's Chairman commented:

"Flow rates were restricted for technical reasons; however, they fully meet the requirements for a declaration of commerciality and application for a development licence. A forward work programme, including perhaps acquiring 3D seismic data and drilling further appraisal/development wells, will we believe lead to a gas development of national significance. This is a highly significant well result for Solo, our partner Aminex and to the United Republic of Tanzania."

EdgeIn - May I ask what is your view on the RNS and the view presentation slides?

My take is that the long term prospect is looking really good but not sure what will be the short-term market reaction here!

I think market will stay around 5.50--7p till N-3 drilling starts next month.so still worth waiting another 8 weeks if market goes down today.

so it looks like NT-3 is still on.

"Ntorya-2 also encountered traces of oil in the gross reservoir interval and the Company is updating its basin model to determine the optimal drilling depths for Ntorya-3 and for future development wells. Post analysis, Aminex will be able to revise its interpretation of in-place volumes."

congrats - might reenter on this result but Will wait for Mr. Market if he gives me an opp, 233 mil valuation at this stage considering what still has to be done is high enough/ or not? huge pressure and mud problems, fault change etc indicates bright future - in time

A new presentation and basin model is desperately required!

Perhaps they could have a little time to get some test results from N-2 and analyse them? No doubt an update of the model will be a top priority.

ngms, i think that diagram/cartoon more follows the MT07 24 line (New Interpretation: Ntorya Channel Thickness Map (m)) This is 2D after all.

AGM Presentation 22 May 2014 slide 10 New Seismic – First Look AGM

I think there's no doubt that the analysis changed after the May 2014 presentation, in fact after the Dec 2015 presentation.

After that the MT07 24 line is shown differently, and labelled as "Reprocessed", and that coincides with the new proposal for the N-2 well site. Clearly there had been more analysis, and the model had been updated again.

I'm not going to pass judgement on the fault issue, but there's no doubt that the slides in the 2014 presentation do not reflect the latest thinking. Nor, I'm quite sure in fact do the 2016 presentations anymore! The updated version, post N-2, when we see them will be of considerable interest - though we may well have to wait a while for those.
