07/4/2021 23:06 | Some interesting reading on MSE....I found this extract useful to remind ourselves on current / next steps:Right now the scheme is still a proposal. A high court hearing on 30 March has given approval for the scheme to go to the next stage, which includes two more steps that need to happen before it can go ahead:A creditors' meeting. The next stage is for the proposed scheme to be voted for by all the parties who are owed money by Amigo, eg, suppliers, past and present customers. The creditors' meeting will be held on 12 May. If you have a valid claim, you are a creditor, and are therefore entitled to vote on the scheme. You can find details on how to vote here. A second court hearing. If the vote is successful, the scheme must then get approval in a second court hearing. The final Court sanction hearing is expected to be held on 19 May. If the scheme is approved, Amigo hopes the scheme will be in place straight after the second hearing. Customers would then have six months from 19 May to make fresh complaints, with decisions and payouts starting to happen in the New Year. https://www.mo | samsung2020

07/4/2021 12:05 | Provident is up by a massive 7.4% now. | marmar80
07/4/2021 11:48 | Good explanation why it is worth to know how the other companies in the same sector are doing, especially if you see the other one putting in place a scheme similar to the one that Amigo came up with. | marmar80
07/4/2021 11:36 | Fair comments... | samsung2020
07/4/2021 11:21 | Don't believe all that you read, Vanquis and Moneybarn make up the majority of Provident and are very successful, the consumer credit division has had its issues over the last few years but this has been mainly caused by a change in the way it employs collectors, the means of collection, an opportunistic bid from NSF and now the same complaints malarkey Amigo are going through. If they can come out the other side like Anigo look likely to then it will flu | jimbobs147
07/4/2021 10:49 | Yes, well whoever's buying them, cos someone is! | spirito |
