14/9/2018 14:39 | IC reiterated their buy stance today. Fortunately, low operating costs and higher realised prices have led to a bump in cash. All drilling, both planned and ongoing, is now fully funded. And since the period-end, the Pintadillo-1 well has been spudded and civil works at the Indicio-1 well have been completed. Peel Hunt expects full-year adjusted pre-tax profits of $37.3m (£28.5m) and EPS of 2.6¢ ($41.7m and 2.2¢ in 2019). Sensibly, the brokerage is not factoring in a major increase into its earnings forecasts, which translate to a 2019 enterprise value to cash profits multiple of three. That rating is less important than the result of the next couple of wells, the first of which the company believes has at least a 50 per cent chance of success; results here will determine any change in our buy call. 14/9/2018 13:28 | Amer is way over priced. As an illustration Genl are producing over 32,000 bopd and have a market cap of £625m. Amer are producing 5,000 bopd and have market cap £184m. Amer should thus have a much lower market cap - max £100m, not £184m. Look at it another way. Genel is woefully UNDERPRICED! Genel should thus have a much higher market cap! Poor deramp. | fangorn2

14/9/2018 12:18 | Ah 'tis a laughable valuation but know why that is and should, as Ace says, be grateful. "Get some nuts" | knackers
14/9/2018 11:25 | Arden note now on research tree :- "Execution of Amerisur’s drilling and pipeline upgrade plans broadly in line with expectations will mean a busy period of newsflow, with the potential for numerous positive catalysts. Risk will also be spread across up to 14 wells, helping control downside potential. All of this is supported by the existing production and cash holding. While further delays could create disappointment amongst investors, new drilling is now underway, and when this is combined with the underlying asset position, and the discount in the current share price, we have a Buy recommendation and 30p price target. 14/9/2018 11:11 | Amer market cap should be no higher than £100m and share price 10p max. | ken chung
14/9/2018 10:44 | well said Aceuk | moneylender
14/9/2018 10:42 | Oh right, a broker note is going to make all the difference - get a grip. Until The City knows there are no more millions of unwanted shares the price is not going to rise that much - as several here keep saying 'be patient and grateful for the opportunity to by 50 pences for 15 pence'. | aceuk
14/9/2018 10:32 | New Mexican president to increase oil production by 800,000 bopd. Will cause price of Columbian oil to fall. | ken chung
