21/6/2018 16:43 | Opec meeting tomorrow: Ecuador said OPEC and its allies could agree to a compromise increase in output of around 0.5-0.6 million bpd. Iran doesn't want to increase under pressure U.S inventory is down. And fracking isn't economic under 60+. Many compagny have already closed. (shortage...) To me it looks set for a compromise. | alamaison5

21/6/2018 15:02 | Once the 1st RNS about drilling comes I am hoping that we will become more positive on this BB and that it will be reflected in the share price too. Very frustrating at the moment but we COULD have just seen the lows. Good luck all! | lauders

21/6/2018 14:58 | Juuunx Word getting out Alliance "news" today, reminding watchers on the sidelines "Amerisur Resources is embarking on its most important drilling programme "for many years" over the next 6 to 12 months as it looks to add..." The tentative date on page 66 of the tender document mentioned by FA is as follows "2. START OF OPERATION Tentative date of commencement of operations in the SOL-1 well is in end of June 2018. The exact date of mobilization of different services covered in the bundle will be intimated by ONGC-VL". | charlieeee

21/6/2018 11:11 | I think Amer are reasonably confident of all the drills in 2018, it's just a matter of getting it done and showing the market that we can finally move the company forward after many delays and disappointments.I have a substantial holding (for me) in this, I like the risk/reward, there is a 90% chance of 294m barrels in our permits, and a 50% chance of 1.4billion. I love those odds.I maybe have been a tad unfair on the BOD as it looks like progress is now being made. Just frustrated with the share price, and the delays in the first 6 months of this year. | acv74
21/6/2018 10:50 | They have planned 3 wells off the pad, but will only drill 2 & 3 if the first is successful. The conductor pipe is effectively the first section of the drill, but is usually done prior to drilling (there is a lot of extra kit involved, such as the blow out preventer and having the rig on standby is wasteful). Obviously it does save costs and time, if they proceed, but is wasteful unless they are reasonably confident. Did they do this on any or all of the previous pads, do any of the "old hands" here remember? | charlieeee
21/6/2018 10:49 | Oh the irony of alamaison accusing somebody of bragging on a message board. What's a swimming by the way. No idea who LADESIDE is but I'd take his word over that of a serial liar anytime. He made £100k, you made £40, it's all relative. | trigger blade
21/6/2018 10:11 | Charlieeee I'd guess it's just a matter of cost and logistics. They have committed to three wells and presumably considered it more sensible to carry out the essential groundwork engineering concurrently. It also reduces the overall timescale of completing the three drills. So basic good operational management practice - particularly if they all come good quicker... plus I assume the upper ground is soft in each location, in which case I gather the conductor pipe is often installed prior to drilling. | davwal
21/6/2018 09:54 | Charlieeeeeee if you have an insight on why this is a significant development, please share | acv74 |
