If Boris was such a switched on investor he would be buying now.

Selling will end, and neither he nor I knows what RH's selling instructions are or whether they will be for all of his shares and even if it is there is a lot less shares now than previously

Quite in range of any would be predator or institutional investor and if the shares get soaked up and Amerisur start to keep target dates then Amerisur will be re rated very quickly indeed.

However, Amerisur has their part to play, and before any criticism perhaps some of you should look at the information in the header.

"Poor communication, hiding bad news: Issue with production from previously shut in wells only announced after remedial work had been carried out to rectify the issue (wax buildup). Complete shutdown of production for two weeks not RNS'ed until resolved (social issues) while share price declined over 20%."

I own a significant number of shares here, as I see Amerisur as very undervalued but that still doesn't mean I should wear blinkers for what appear to be BoD failings and nor should any sensible investor.

For example the expected 10 day before news on Plat 25! Get your act together Amerisur.

Charlie. Why do you think Global Environmental Licence is tied to pad drilling of other zones? Normally if there are other productive zones found within wells they would be co mingled within the well or the well recompleted after the original zone had depleted? Have I misunderstood your comment.

Pad drilling is not the key to exploiting other zones, pad drilling is the key to keeping costs down for field development irrespective of zones, but the more zones producing the merrier.

Incidentally its bad form to apologise for incorrect comments, then repeat the same comments afterwards knowing they are wrong.

No we didn’t. I should go back to the UKOG thread - just your sort of stuff. They need you more than we do.

Did ya miss me??

mwah mwah on both cheeks to all...
Thought west tex would have been able to ping $60 bbl.
Close but now rolling over again. XOP especially showing signs of weakness in the last week.
Maybe those opec cuts extension will help...

Chart both daily and weekly not looking so clever now. May not break 18.5 just yet but should the volume start to pick up it might well be the first sign RH is looking to force the issue.

Static production for me at around 6000 (Amer always seems to be running hard to stand still with Platanillo!). Mariposa will hopefully give an extra 1000pd in December to bring up the 7k. CPO5 is what attracts me to Amer and I look forward to new wells in 2018. CPO5 could be the making of Amer adding a big resource upgrade and significant new and hopefully stable production.

Still using top of clouds (SSA) as support. Looking like a Tenkan/Kijun cross in the making but we'll see, might be a little sister kiss.

I'd be disappointed with anything under 6500 ... but much more interesting is clarity on how the additional production to get beyond 7000 by year end is going. Looks nailed on, but this is AMER.

So, consensus around 6500, which, with Mariposa should see us hit the year end target in December.

Hopefully Plat 21 will have obliged and they did optimise 10, 11 and 20 and so long as Plat 25 makes some production contribution, that should offset decline: what is more important for that particular well than the production, is how it affects the reserve calculations.

Moneylender, expected news flow is

1st production figures from Mariposa (as part of the monthly update)
Plat 27, which specifically targets production
The extended environmental licence which enables them to go after the separate pay zone from the same field.

No timescale was put on the OBA upgrades, but they were described as minor: in any event, the OBA does seem to be coping with the increased production.

For God's sake give up the whining. What your post says is you decide who's genuine and who isn't

You seem paranoid so keep your personal judgements to yourself

Charlieeee - My stab at November production daily average is 6505 bopd. Figure assumes same Plat production as last month (therefore no lost days) but makes no allowance for P25 given no indication having been forthcoming from the company as to whether it’s yet flowing commercially.
Then an optimistic assumption of 1000 bopd (to Amer) from Mariposa-1 for ten days after the restart.
P25 is the biggest unknown as we have discussed at some length. Hopefully it’s been quietly knocking out 800/1000 a day for twenty days, which would render my forecast a load of rhubarb...

Tyler Durden

As it is a quiet weekend and thus not displacing decent debate, I will respond to your postings of last week, criticizing this bb with the condemnation "Lord of the Flies bb this one".

Posters here, IMO, can be categorized as the "real" people, who attend AGMs, meet up for drinks and recently mourned together, the premature loss of an old friend or the "rest of us", who are just avatars, fictional creations of our own imaginations.

As far as the avatars are concerned, because any personal information is unverified, the poster's "platform" should be ignored and focus needs to be on what the avatar is seeking to achieve by their posting.

Generally, on this bb, that seems to me to be a "conversation" with a fairly casual exchange of information and quite spasmodic posting (probably driven by personal time constraints), but it does catch my attention when an avatar sets up a squall and (like that screaming child in the restaurant) utterly refuses to shut up. We are adults on this bb and heard the message first time, thank you! Obvious conclusion: multiple repetition = agenda: negative = short.

What is so fascinating here, is that an avatar with a "platform" can deramp with impunity, whilst those without that convenient fig leaf periodically get the full coconut shy (not that it matters, of course, because they are also fictional).

As you seem to like a literary illustration, I am sure that you will appreciate the skill of Shakespeare's Mark Anthony in constructing his platform, without which he could not have demolished Brutus.

"Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him"

I did find it quite funny, Tyler Durden, that you could write "witchhunts not my scene" in a post clearly "witchhunting" the "Charlieeee" avatar: perhaps you were just foxhunting?

So, apologies for the off topic (particularly to AL101, who set this thread up) and back to AMER and that all important November production figure. Best guesses for this month? Obviously, CPO-5 will not affect the whole monthly average, but it will be interesting to finally get an indication of what it may contribute on a monthly basis and will be crucial to the December figure, by which this company will be judged.

No volume again at the mo. RH happy to sit on remainder it seems and just trickle feed the stock once the bid picks up.
If we see a pick up in volume on the sell side and perhaps he just wants to clear out the balance.
