18/8/2017 11:25 | Ah, hadn't seen Deans post, that makes sense. VOG lost money and up to half year are only making slow and steady improvements to the business. Yes, they are converting their balance sheet assets in to cash (positive cash flow), but the conversion rate is poor... £18 million of depreciation and amortisation turned in to circa £3 million of positive cash flow. Much of the value in VOG is down to prospective resources, hopes and dreams, much like we had in Paraguay. If they can turn their large acreage and prospective resource in to a game changing amount of P2 resource and sell that resource in to the market, then they are a fantastic opportunity , but isn't the same true of all E&P companies. | al101uk

18/8/2017 09:29 | the loss was due to a write down of a well, impairment.... West Med has been valued at ZERO in the accounts already... $35-40m sales and rising, $10-13m pa fcf, big gas deals imminent, just drilled another successful well with 58m pay, in production in September, La-108 to complete soon aswell, already found 100m of pay in that....p2 to p1 reserves increase will be massive.... | deanroberthunt
18/8/2017 09:26 | the muppets will be the ones holding this pos down to 8p, or lower | deanroberthunt

18/8/2017 09:16 | FA, Sorry you've completely lost me? VOG? | al101uk
18/8/2017 08:44 | A101uk. Does this help with the valuation. Its from VOG annual report. The net loss of $31.1 million for the year, or 28.74 pence per share (prior period: profit of $0.2 million; earnings of 0.1 pence per share), primarily reflects these write downs and provisions. It does however, “clear the decks” to enable our future accounts and balance sheet to more truly reflect the outstanding performance of your Company. Anyone remember the K. Foo announcements over the fantastic Russian reserves.....where are they these days? | foiledagain
18/8/2017 08:43 | Sad though that the drop in Amer's share price seems to be aided by the BoD in lack of transparency. The problem is not whether RH is still selling or not, the problem for shareholders is not knowing and it is the perceived lack of transparency by the BoD who have a duty of care to shareholders in the performance of their duties. To preside over such a fall over such a period of time, with such uncertainty that they do not appear to have done anything to quell does them no credit at all and I question their suitability to continue on the Board unless compelling reasons transpire, but which history demonstrates they usually have a good reason. I wonder how many shareholders have been forced to sell, how many spread betters forced to sell because of this massive drop, where no explanation has been forthcoming and shareholders in the main do not have any indication as to whether selling is continuing in what looks less like a rudderless ship and more like deliberate policy. The likelihood is too that the parasites that know, are likely to be on this bb knocking the share for all its worth, taking shares off those who in the main can least afford to lose them, or who sadly are just too leveraged to be able to keep them, allowing a feast of cheap shares either for a takeover or for an extra bonus off their City employers. | foiledagain
18/8/2017 08:39 | dodge city, Please post the valuation to back up your claim, I'm interested how you value the company and how you justify that share price. More than happy to have a civilised discussion on the merits of Amerisur, positive or negative. | al101uk

18/8/2017 07:58 | VOG does $35m sales and turns $10-13m pa fcf, and is valued at £60m..and is just about to massively up reserves to p1 and increase production. | deanroberthunt
18/8/2017 07:56 | grossly overvalued for its production, could halve from here and still not be cheap.... | deanroberthunt
18/8/2017 07:54 | Malcy needs to dump this from his bucket list fast before it goes in single digit sp | deanroberthunt
18/8/2017 07:42 | gtfcniles. That could be what they are relying on. Attrition | foiledagain
18/8/2017 07:15 | What i wouldn't give for a take over rns now, even in the high 20s just so I can get out of this company with a bit of profit, average 23.5p anything above that! | gtfcniles
17/8/2017 22:17 | Hi Dave -- yup, plenty of good news to be announced but only when they are ready. Not a lot to gain announcing whilst the seller persists and will sell even more into good news until they reach their end goal. And their end goal is ? Take out AMER for a price well below it's true value imo | westmoreland lad
17/8/2017 21:13 | Lucy- my thoughts also. I'm sure there's good news in the pipeline. If I had any money, I would buy. | bigwavedave |
