31/7/2017 17:05 | Does anyone have any info on why MGR Resources (Amedeo loaned them 800k earlier this year) has the same registered address as Dune Engineering who are a significant shareholder in Amedeo? Also registered at the same address is the joint venture YZJ Engineering and Alcazar who loaned Zafir Karims Legendary Investments 250k the other year.Coincidence? | soupdragon55
27/7/2017 14:23 | 5000 volume buys coming in, try and buy if you can lol | knicol46
27/7/2017 13:04 | Limit to buy seems to be a poxy 3,800 shares(at an unchanged 14.98p) or above it goes to Negotiated Order; However, you can sell large amounts at 13.62p. Appears to me the MM's are aware positive news may be near and they are 'tightening up' & hoping for weak sellers, at the same time making it difficult to buy any kind of quantity. The amount you can sell is reminiscent of last December's rise. IMO | davethechef

26/7/2017 08:15 | Greater detailed information on why copper is surging Very interesting link on YZJ, agreed howdlep, our JV partner's one of the very few shipbuilders with a very healthy cash pile, diversified & have a bright future with increased orders. They've done very well weathering the downturn of the last few years. | davethechef
26/7/2017 05:29 | Yes agreed re rig update and copper prices. Good to see our JV partner in such a good position:- | howdlep
25/7/2017 14:22 | Surely if the rig sale isn't done by September's Interims, they'd have to update us then. These delays can't go on for ever!!! Copper prices, WOW! our copper mine stake, certainly looks increasingly a positive investment/bright future re: MGR Below snippet taken from enclosed link The Telegraph noted that Glencore has turned bullish on copper following its March annual report that said a "wall of copper" had failed to emerge on world markets for the red metal. "The prospect of demand growth across Asia, Europe and the US, as well as the likelihood of difficult labour contract negotiations at some of the industry’s major mines over the coming year, suggest that pricing risks lie to the upside in 2017," the report said. | davethechef
24/7/2017 21:36 | Yes it did read this merger today. I read on another discussion site(not LSE) that they thought YZJ may be attractive to majors keen on getting a foothold into into China. As we know they are afterall a non-government held most profitable shipyard in China. Personally I can't see it happening but you never know for the future. | davethechef
24/7/2017 20:55 | I wonder whether our JV yard will attract similar consolidation interest? | howdlep
18/7/2017 21:16 | Chinese Investor 10 Nov '16 - 08:59 - 114 of 483 0 0 I had a "dinner party" last night and every guest said they would be buying this beauty ! >>>>> Hope your "guests" sold when this peaked at over 40p, intraday, in December and are not still holding! If they are they are probably regretting going to your dinner party and buying based on your tip! AMED is a very dangerous share due to the very small free float; it's an ideal candidate for a pump & dump by momentum traders. However it's a share that traders can make money out of. I notice you got very excited by the bullish Golden Cross back in early November, but this latest bearish Death Cross doesn't seem to have halted your enthusiasm for AMED. Strange! | papillon
18/7/2017 20:56 | Well your header, "AMEDEO RESOURCES - 10 BAGGER", Chinese Investor, is looking decidedly over optimistic by a country mile! I don't think much of AMED as your "Share For 2017". The current AMED chart is bearish; there was a bearish "Death Cross" (50 day EMA dropping below a falling 200 day EMA) in June. Doesn't bode well for the rest of 2017. | papillon
18/7/2017 17:46 | Positive recovery for copper bodes well for our 49% holding in MGR Resources, which with reasonably robust iron ore prices, improved year-on-year, and our start of the year $800K loan to MGR, should mean MGR increasingly profitable. About seven weeks until September's Interims I expect. In the meantime if we get the rig sale, this will surge. | davethechef
12/7/2017 10:26 | My Share For 2017 ! | chinese investor
03/7/2017 20:15 | Our JV partner YZJ continues to pick up contracts, as reported today; possibly we've been given greater revenue on 'overspill' work re: above hxxp://splash247.com | davethechef
29/6/2017 13:46 | Another interesting snippet from Bowood on iii today, 'M Cap about £5.5m with cash and near cash of 4m dollars at the year end. Investment in the yard about 14m dollars and probably worth a lot more on sale as the AMED share of the losses have reduced the original investment which should be more than recovered on the rig disposal.so lots of cash to be returned if the share in the yard is sold once the sale completes. A fair bit undervalued IMO.' We're certainly undervalued, agreed! Copper prices not far off Febraury's high's which reached then two year highs, so bullish for MGR | davethechef
28/6/2017 19:30 | Our rig customer, Keppel FELS, continue to pick up major contracts and our JV partner, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, have had a great year so I am hoping for new contract orders in due course. That is where the rapid share price price multiple appreciation will come from. Time will tell. | howdlep
28/6/2017 18:00 | This is what respected Bowood from iii thinks, as Amed's possible future, posted earlier today. ' The positive remains the substantial asset value relative to the share price and further added value when the rig is sold. Once this is done I would not be too suprised if the investment in the yard is sold to its partner with cash invested elsewhere. There will be substantial funds available for something that could provide benefits sooner. A major acqusition in the region could also be on. Still happy to hold as I see substantial upside post rig and MGR progress. ' I too believe this may transpire, as I suggested earlier in the year. remains to be seen; hopefully it's a case of short-term pain, long term gain re the present share price Atleast copper prices remain positive | davethechef
25/6/2017 20:30 | AGM tomorrow, I believe & next Results shouldn't be any later than September 10th 2017. Copper especially continues to preform well, year-on-year, so expecting positive news re MGR Resources. As for tomorrow, really could do with latest progress re the Rig transfer too, but unlikely I guess. However, with out interests and assets, this market capital, is madness! | davethechef
