Posted at 15/8/2017 12:46 by losos CMA saying today that if AMFW do sell some of their upstream oil & gas business's they may avoid a long and detailed investigation of the takeover.AMFW and JW. had already agreed to sell some assets so looks like this deal is a 'goer' with completion in Q4 Can't come soon enough for me haha. |
Posted at 19/7/2017 12:17 by edjge2 Appreciate that Maurillac so depends on WG. price, currently 600 so AMFW equiv 450. |
Posted at 19/7/2017 10:29 by maurillac 3 wg. shares for every 4 amfw shares. in other words 0.75 x wg. share pricem |
Posted at 11/7/2017 19:39 by stoxx67 this will get hit tomorrow as did Petrofac..Petrofac will recover (further) and so will AMFW eventually i will certainly be looking at this tomorrow and over the coming days |
Posted at 10/7/2017 09:34 by losos pogue - yes, nothing will happen now until merger completed, which looks like the Autumn at the earliest, and no AMFW dividend while we wait grrrr. |
Posted at 05/5/2017 13:23 by maurillac well the amfw share price is languishing at 526. should be at 555 based on the offer and the wg share price. looks like a buying opportunity to me as the deal looks likely to proceed. what am i missing ?m |
Posted at 21/3/2017 11:12 by losos There's always loads of speculation and 'what if' scenarios whenever a merger or take over is active. The monopolies commission will stick their ore in but by offloading some divisions (AMFW have already said they want to off load the nuclear side) I'm betting on this merger going ahead. Since I'm underwater on AMFW and faced with a cancelled divi and a RI it's a 'no brainer' as our American chums would say. |
Posted at 15/3/2017 17:56 by losos puffintickler - I read most of the announcement, seemes to be a compeling case certainly as far as AMFW is concerned. Hope that the deal goes ahead 'cos I don't like the idea of loosing the dividend. |
Posted at 13/3/2017 09:30 by ptgint I agree gb1 - getting AMFW on the cheap. Must mean worthwhile hanging onto the Wood shares in due course ? |
Posted at 13/3/2017 09:26 by mornington crescent FW is a hot potato - being moved from pillar to postI was a bit surprised about disposal of nuclear How easy is that going to be ? Divi situation was fairly predictable Renegotiating finance was clearly a big big problem mornington crescent 7 Jan '16 - 10:43 - 122 of 319 0 0 Edit clearly bitten off more than they can chew in the circumstances. waiting to hear about further "restructuring" possibly inside FW. probably say bye bye to any future dividend for some years. |
