27/8/2016 02:39 | So it wasn't a false rally after all, though cannot see for the life of me why the market is so enthusiastic after such poor results with 'conditions still challenging' according to CEO. Sold a third of my holding 2 days ago at a decent profit. Glad to hang on for the rest though. There has to be some serious profit taking after this latest surge, perhaps back to 540-550 or even less. | bend1pa
26/8/2016 17:31 | over 3% isn't it to declare? Has consolidated fior 6 weeks.now breakout with poss oil inverted H&S. Oil only a part of business here. RSI 70+ as before, so now perhaps due a pullback sometime. | edjge2
26/8/2016 11:45 | Surprised whoevers been building their stake for the last 3+ weeks hasn't had to declare their interest, they've been buying programmed 2000+ batches. | djgrantb
26/8/2016 10:27 | Thanks Scallywagkid. | djgrantb
26/8/2016 10:26 | Upgraded to overweight from equal weight by Morgan Stanley. | scallywagkid
26/8/2016 10:24 | I've been saying that for over 3 weeks, my ADVFN says there's an Rns but there isn't, onwards and upwards. | djgrantb
26/8/2016 10:20 | Must be something go on here? | zcaprd7
19/8/2016 13:23 | Bots buying stock @ 1 min intervals, awaiting Rns with details... | djgrantb
18/8/2016 19:59 | suppose HTG may be in a similar boat | edjge2
18/8/2016 12:41 | Cheers Losos, thankfully I bought on the way down @ 5.70 & 3.95. I have faith in this company, the programmed 2000+ trade is still on after almost 2 weeks, once the market heads north again I see this at 5.75. Its not just US buying the majority of the trades are before their open. This company could easily be acquired for circa £7. IMHO... | djgrantb
18/8/2016 12:25 | djgrantb - "Someone is building a stake in 2000+ batches" Normally good for share price but with these an offer just above current share price might work and like yourself that would still leave me below cost. Just have to see what happens! | losos
16/8/2016 10:36 | Someone is building a stake in 2000+ batches, and has been for the last 10 days or so. Onwards and upwards to £5.85 | djgrantb
16/8/2016 09:57 | Still perky, technically looking quite good on the chart? | zcaprd7
10/8/2016 14:25 | Still some lumpy buying going on, especially the 280k trade @ £5.08, someone building a stake imho | djgrantb
10/8/2016 14:06 | Loos like yesterday's surge was a bear squeeze on the 'better than expected' interims. They weren't great on the face of it, and the much hoped-for debt reduction has not improved after currency adjustments. I thought that was one of AMFW's main goals. At least the cut div might hold for the next 2 years, but we'll now have 3 years of declining earnings, with no turnaround yet in sight. So there could easily be another cut on the distant horizon. But interesting though that 6 brokers have AMFW as a 'strong buy' vs 1 as a 'strong sell' But the shorters haven't been deterred and they are back in force again today. I could well see this back in the 450s before too long as it is looking like a false rally. | bend1pa
09/8/2016 15:27 | This Is definitely more than just results related, awaiting RNS tomorrow maybe. | djgrantb
09/8/2016 11:23 | Losos, I'm a long term investor In AFW, been in this stock prior to TO so you can imagine £11+, this stock has been taken over be flash/day traders, my saving grace has been buying a few below £4. Would be nice to see share price hold above £5.10 level at the close then sentiment in the stock has changed, not just quick in and out traders, interesting to see what happen when US opens I think we're in for a ride.... | djgrantb
09/8/2016 11:08 | djgrantb - As a short term contractor I have worked for both AMEC and Foster Wheeler and I agree with you, both are good at what they do but AMEC seemed to me to have much better financial discipline and I was surprised that they went for FW when they did. Today is a good rise but I'm still not at break even. Luckily not one of my major holdings (Almost the smallest in fact) so going to hang in there a while. | losos
09/8/2016 10:19 | Technically, the chart is finely poised. Is it swing traders coming in, eying up the closing of that gap? | zcaprd7
09/8/2016 09:13 | strange reaction ... but welcome ! m | maurillac
09/8/2016 08:46 | Revenue up but margins and profitability down. Cash flow and cash conversion caught the eye though, that's improved.... | zcaprd7
09/8/2016 08:31 | Amec is a well run company, Foster Wheeler has been a burden. | djgrantb
09/8/2016 08:30 | Guidance maintained I suppose. Disposals announced again. I wish they would actually dispose of something! | zcaprd7 |
