24/4/2007 23:31 | MM, thats plenty of cash. any idea what the cash burn is per month? One can only assume that the drug that failed phase II was the flagship drug. Gonna take a look and see what tomorrow brings. The MM's always over-react to such 'damning' news but then they're not pharma experts are they, so is the fall justified or not? I suppose its a loss of faith in the company and its expertise and astuteness that undermines confidence in a stock price but who are we to argue with the market! Might have a punt in t'morning. What other drugs in phase II dude? Cheers OliverC | olivercromwell
24/4/2007 23:20 | 29 million dollars btw Look at the potential market fo r depression 14 billion, parkinsons 5.6 billion. This could be a great recovery stock. Be interested to see if they make anything more of results after looking in more detail, however, im sure they have been thorough as you wouldnt want to come to market with news like this unless you had to. 24/4/2007 22:55 | looked at other recent market shockers such as jsp and bfc and they bolted under bad news by 55% ish. They have slim futures / increasing debt / cash flow problems and they still recovered by between 30-50% from their drops. Amarin has plenty of cash and if you look at its product portfolio it has plenty of other products - yes Miraxion has failed for Huntingdons disease but what about depression and other CNS diseases. We have current trials on these which are promising. Take a look at the website for more products. NO other corp has managed to really make a break through for Huntingdons disease so shouldnt have been a dead cert anyway. We have the people, we have products in phase 2 trials, we have cash we have been oversold! DYOR MM | money mad

24/4/2007 18:42 | Another Elan related Failure! You would be better playing the lottery then investing any money with these guys. I suspect Ian Hunter is hiding under is desk in Goodbodys after putting out this buy note the other day. Amarin upgraded to "buy" Friday, April 20, 2007 3:22:21 AM ET Goodbody Stockbrokers NEW YORK, April 20 (newratings.com) - Analyst Ian Hunter of Goodbody Stockbrokers upgrades Amarin Corporation (AMRN.NAS) from "add" to "buy." The target price is set to $5.70. In a research note published yesterday, the analyst mentions that the company's Miraxion is one of the most advanced drugs in a comparatively thin pipeline of drug candidates for addressing Huntington's Disease. In case Miraxion hits its Phase III endpoints and reaches the market, it is expected to generate revenues of more than $80 million in FY08, with sales rising to $243.7 million in FY10, the analysts say. | lbo
