The recent mini rise was sold off... causing a few more to jump and here we are today IMHO.

Of course no news of anything positive in the interim hasn't helped of course.

It's still like holding a treasure chest full of vast riches but the CEO has lost the key.

Same old same old ALTN and manipulation, they simply cannot wait to drop the price can they, usual tactics, well timed 3k-5k occasional sells (usually early doors or towards close) followed by single digit sells to force the price down.

The question is why? Is this stock being shorted? Is the market aware of something small investors have no knowledge of? Is someone accumulating in the background at these low prices? Who knows.

One thing worth noting, would a highly credible businessman/investor, namely Thomas Gallagher, join a company who is about to disappoint the market? Would a Kazakh Bank advance new cash without evidence of operational improvements? Maybe the doom is overdone.

The floor seems to be around current levels nonetheless.

Apart from the swing in the gold price, what other reason could there be for todays' drop, as per the last RNS, production should actually ramp up over the coming quarters and a lower AISC to go along with that.

The worm has to turn eventually.

They've spent a fortune to improve productivity and move towards phase two, and everyone involved will expect results...it may aswell be now cos we've waited a year!

Well, if the share price falls below 100 I'll double down again. I doubt it will go below 100 to be honest, so I may double down slightly above that level.

With just 3 to 4 weeks to go to Q4 numbers that could show the improvement we've been looking for it would be mad to not have exposure.

I think we'll see a double bottom here, then begin to move on higher again.

A lot hinges on the Q4 production report in 3 or 4 weeks.

We know they are shifting more muck, we know that the mill has had money spent on it and was down for week...but is it now up and running and breaking records?

We know that grades are improving, and with more equipment on its way should improve efficiency.

Should, could, would, maybe...

What a ride it's been, bought in originally in the 0.60s then made fortunes on the way up. A turnaround and share price collapse and bought back in all the way down...doubled down under 100p then sold again at +25% profit...back to core holding awaiting the next move!

Why can't these things be simple?

I think the cash was to be used as operating capital presumably because production fell short of what they (and we) had hoped for, and the cash covered the shortfall.

It was however anothed loan, so the bank will have wanted evidence that it can be repaid, so no dilution, and at a decent rate, with not convertible or secured...all good out of a bad situation.

All we can do is watch the numbers and guess, but right now seems as cheap as ever to buy in given that we are presumably nearer to actually increasing production rather than just talking about it.

We need to see tangible results from all of this Capex.

Excellence, a couple of points of clarification - did we ever see that the JSC bond bonus options were exercised into +5.6%? shares. By 30th Oct IIRC. .And secondly you refer to the $7m debt raised in the Autumn, on top of the supposed $10m cash raised by the AIX Bond issue in July. Is it credible that ALTN can consume this amount of cash in what has appeared hithertoe to be a lean operation?.Head scratching time! tightfist

It is not 'bust' they were profitable at a lower gold price if you check prior financial results..

This is now the laggard of my portfolio...

Probably another 4 weeks until Q4 2020 production numbers, but going off the previous three reports I don't expect a significant improvement, tho it is possible...eventually.

To me it is clear that they are more interested in a,corporate partner rather than pandering to retail investors that don't really bring much to the table, so we'll just have to watch and wait while the jigsaw pieces are placed into position.

First let's see phase one succeed, and see production up to profitable and sustainable levels. I think a partner will be involved for phase two.

Ths plan was released 4 or 5 years ago, but funding didn't come until the gold price became solid enough.

The ducks are lining up now.
