Rob, I agree. I am trying to get my head around, why we would have seen this buying activity if the main shareholders wanted to take this private. And why they wouldn’t have bought down at 10p, when they were allowed too. Quick answer is that there was less vaccine/election visibility then. But still, that isn’t enough of an explanation.

It is not the buy of 1 percent It is who the buyer is

I agree with that scenario but the question is surely at what price? A buy of 1+% has raised the market price by todays large movement.

Maybe, but what price would they have to pay? Any way, I don’t buy this argument at all.

If MV wanted and board agreed they could easily get the required percentage

Thats a fair way from 75% as MV buying a small percentage made today's jump.

Interesting thought Sheep. So if they needed 75% to do that. Which shareholders would that need to include?

To take ALT private requires a vote by 75% of the holders would be needed. If the main shareholders want to achieve this result the buying today shows how tightly held the shares are so achieving the 75% would be a problem. The next RNS if of the same type as previous will make attaining the 75% an easy task.

Sheep - if they thought it was going to crash, they would wait then buy in. They haven't. That tells you something.

I haven't seen any news from the company that would make me want to buy back in yet. The messaging so far has been awful and the delay to the results speaks for itself.

I wouldn't be surprised if Martin and friends are buying up stock so that when this crashes on results, they can take it private on the cheap. :-)

If they show they can actually turn a profit from what is really a $2B+ closed market, then that would be a start. I actually have no idea how they've failed at this so far. All that promise.

Yes north . MV knows his stuff and it is huge . As for no one adding , Ali , mate , get serious. Why are the shares in south short supply , everyone who is serious has been adding while low . Have you missed ST the number three , almost second largest shareholder ??? And now MV

I agree Bills. That's a big move today. Interims won't be pretty. Invariably will see some dips. I'm a buyer on those.

What a lovely day. I wanted to buy more down at 15, but never got round to it. I still think it will be choppy until there is real proof or at least visibility.

Not just a very good sign , THE BEST sign possible . The man was the founder of ALT . No one knows ALT like him and look how many he has !!!. That's on top of ST buying so in essence the number one and number 3 are buying. Soon as results are out the Directors will wade in i am sure .BIG turning point for us . If you want more shares , get in quick , VERY short supply
