Certainly more fun than watching AWE's current share price direction!

Well, not having invested in the wider sector before, I found this interesting: Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company makes 24% of all the world's chips, and 92% of the most advanced ones found in today's iPhones, fighter jets and supercomputers. Now TSMC is building America's first 5-nanometer fabrication plant, hoping to reverse a decades-long trend of the US losing chip manufacturing to Asia... htTps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GU87SH5e0eI

If everything goes as swimmingly as Barclays' forecast, forward p/e is now about 49 and the following year p/e is about 29 using the current mcap of about £1.32B. But you have to take a view on what proportion of bookings get converted to real cash and apportion on an annual basis; who knows what to expect there ? I'm still cashed out at the moment.

If you have a 24 month + mindset I would agree. Short term, the shorters are in total control. Naya have turned out to be pretty switched on and not one to underestimate. I am waiting for the low 100p area - above that, this is just too risky

Just add on decent pull backs until common sense is restored

Shorters will be looking at a target of sub 100p imo. This will be 120 before it is 400p again imo

Best have this deranged poster on filter, he mostly trolls others and serves no use purpose as a thread contributor. No idea what he’s talking about but I would guess it’s lots of nonsense. Bad Robot26 Oct '21 - 21:36 - 770 of 771 (Filtered)

The UK mkt has been a disaster for most IPOs - AWE, THG, ROO - if they had listed on NASDAQ by now each would have at least bagged..The FTSE really is a bargepole for most tech stocks.

Ouch just seen this, is this some kind of concerted attack?? Awe, THg and now Dark. Can’t see any director buys helping, the last biggie has been shrugged, a multi billion contract might help!!! Painful

Thanks for that fuji99 I do not read that as "confirming" WiseRoad have contributed anything to CPP as of yet more its a plan to invest the $230 mill. Thats not to say they havent invested some (or perhaps all of this money). I am presuming though in the absence of any confirmed amounts added in by Wise Road they have "probably" invested not a lot as of now. Unhelpfully their linked website does not even confirmany tie in with Alphawave or CPP - which is a bit strange with the size of the deals being bandied about !! I am sure Alphawave would be able to confirm or deny if you disagree with my sketchy assessment of where they are at (or should i say "not at" at present !

rmillaree: "All definitive agreements from China Product Partnership ("CPP") executed with first revenues expected to be recognised in H2 2021" - "The CPP has a non-exclusive licence, worth $109m, to use Alphawave’s IP over a period of five years in the hope of establishing a “leading networking semiconductor vendor serving the Chinese market”. But Alphawave has also committed to invest $170m in the entity to fund its operations, with Wise Road contributing $230m."

fuji99 "emillaree - The directors and institutions are buying and the major shareholders list flags up WRC. People can stay clear as they wish until China revenue materialise. In any case this is a must have cutting edge technology, vital for high volume connectivity. I am personally convinced it has a bright future as the successive upgrades coupled with the strong growth in the US have shown." with all respect you have posted comments here that third party has invested $230 mill in CPP - if that is factually not correct i would appreciate if you could correct what you have said rather than simply ignore my question when responding to me.
