I think down trend is a bit strong. AFX spiked on the SCSW tip and have given that back and are now trading sideways. £4.50 to £5.00 looks like it could be the range until news comes along. Lets face it, a stock of this kind drifts during quiet, news free periods but can then move north by 50% in a flash! The RSI is in oversold territory so a bounce could come at anytime........

Well, that is factually correct but not for any reason other than weak holders during period of no news. Wait till January and then the next results and the next results etc.

Yes but you agree short term, in the absence of news, this is in down trend

Anyone selling now is being foolish. The PSD2 regulations coming out in January means Alpha FX will have access to all their clients' bank accounts in real time. This will be a game changer for them. They are signing up clients left, right and centre now they have the capital to do so and a very happy and hard working team (they have the best Glass Door rating I've ever seen). The CEO's shares do not vest for 2 years so if you do not have a time horizon to match that, you are being very short sighted about the upside potential on this.

Tried through various platforms to buy but failed. I could go on a rant about manipulation but thats just the way it is with smaller companies. No point in worrying, in a way it shows that there is a buyer out there.

Yes I tried to buy at the low and failed unfortunately. I think the same thing might happen tomorrow so may try again hopefully. The spread is 30p at the moment which puts me off!

Most likely a tree shake to scare out weak holders. Normally a good time to buy.

Alpha has £14m collateral now, which will enable it to run a £14bn forward order book but it is presently only using £6.6m of this. That implies a £12m operating profit, almost twice the forecast presently.

At the interims afx had 6.3m in revenue and 6.3p eps. Doesn't leave any room to disappoint.

hi aishah- please forgive my inexperience how do you use the eps figures and the market cap to arrive at your conclusion- i've seen many people commenting mnot to look at the pe ration but the peg and i thought they were reasonable- i did pick up the fool's comment that "At 36 times forward earnings there’s significant growth already priced-into its share price but I see plenty of reasons to take a closer look at Alpha FX."
