01/11/2021 07:25 | Thought we'd get nothing for Spark so something is far better than nothing! But my heart missed a beat when i saw the headline! | kooba
28/10/2021 06:56 | Award season continues in earnest..ICYMI: For the second year in a row, we've been named a winner in @TopTechAwards' #MobileBreakthroughA | kooba
27/10/2021 10:59 | Again BridgeComm indicating their ambition to have a low earth orbit network using their laser connectivity? A competitor to Starlink ? Could be a story to be let loose on investors soon ?https://twitter.com | kooba
27/10/2021 10:53 | Another example of real world adoption of private networks using shared CBRS spectrum ...federated kit involved..but this kind of set up could be replicated across sports venues.Military , transport hubs ,utilities, telematics across buildings and boosting broadband across remote communities.Does seem the inflection point has arrive for the technology ...now got to ensure they remain industry leader as this massive opportunity expands rapidly. Still think they get taken out by a Cisco or the like at a very decent premium to current valuation..but can see a fundraise to take them to another valuation level first and imminently imho.https://www.fie | kooba
26/10/2021 10:34 | We're excited to announce that BridgeComm has been named a gold #winner in this year's 8th Annual 2021 International Best in #Business @GlobeeAwards for the Company Work-From-Home Implementation of the Year category! globeeawards.com/int | kooba
26/10/2021 10:31 | 2680 was related to BridgeComm but the big fish in Broadband and Private networks who are committing to shared spectrum CBRS means there are plenty of big fish who i think would appreciate the market leading position that Federated have in the pond. Think there will be pre transaction funding to raise the bar before any transaction . I'd imagine the company would prefer independence but might not be their call if attractive offers were put forward i guess. | kooba
26/10/2021 08:48 | I'm not sure the exit from Fed is via IPO or even SPAC. Fed are well run, no credit to Harry Rein. If Fed stick to their knitting they will have something to sell to someone with deep pockets and a track record. (See kooba's #2680 re Peter Thiel. Impressive.) But it's always this problem with poker when your stack is visibly low. Do you see a call? They've already been there with Spin Memory. | wbodger
25/10/2021 20:04 | Bridgecomm announced an award about an hour ago on Twitter but no idea how to attach link - Sorry | believer2
22/10/2021 06:36 | Hopefully doing all the right things and gaining traction too...feels like things are going well seems a bit of a buzz..hope so!We've been named the winner of Rural Wireless Solution of the Year in @TopTechAwards #MobileBreakthroughA | kooba
21/10/2021 23:39 | Another award for Fed on their Twitter account - | believer2
20/10/2021 20:26 | Article on recent BridgeComm tie up ..what's particularly interesting is the last sentence which shows huge ambition and potential...this could be leveraging off their laser communication technology taking it to a new level ?https://spacenews.c | kooba
20/10/2021 12:04 | Yep...wonder if all the tax losses are worth anything too...the company must have many hundreds on Ms in losses...can anyone use AM as a vehicle to offset?? Must be VC funds who can do something? Maybe losses are our biggest asset !! | kooba
20/10/2021 11:52 | You'll deserve it if it happens @kooba :) But identical situation 3 years ago. Since then we've had a tech bull market & a SPAC frenzy, & I'm amazed ALM weren't able to take advantage. Hard to believe the heights ALM once got to. | spectoacc
20/10/2021 11:49 | I think all a bit early this year but if the three companies all bring in new investors in up rounds then that locks in some incremental value short term. I also think all the companies have strategic interest and one should not discount takeovers for them ..especially Federated Wireless where they are an industry leader in a very fast expanding sector of shared spectrum in private networks and boosting broadband in remote areas where a lot of the big communication boys are circling ..Federated is a very small bite at multiples of current valuation to have leadership in this space.I'm sounding puffy now ! | kooba
20/10/2021 11:34 | Yeah, just not sure why they aren’t feeding the ducks now. Seems like another missed opportunity | buffettjnr
20/10/2021 11:11 | They never did spend a few million on buybacks only $700k..i believe they limited the purchases to 21p...when your nav is 46p not sure what difference a few pennies make if you have decided you can commit excess funds to make share buybacks..but hey ho thats this board for ya.Think SPACs are already a thing of the past as many are not creating value..so many floated though and many were massively overvalued vehicles to be frank so there could be better value alternatives into next year...or theres always the straightforward IPO i never heard nasdaq insist on profits to float and I'm sure Federated Wireless meet criteria. | kooba
20/10/2021 08:49 | ALM clearly think they'll get FW away, or they wouldn't have spent a few million on the buy-back, but agree the tech boom will only last so long. And no, profits or even revenues aren't required to SPAC. | spectoacc
20/10/2021 08:48 | Spac market might be dead by then | buffettjnr
20/10/2021 08:35 | Too early. FW is a prime candidate next year | bobonumber1
20/10/2021 08:00 | Well i would disagree i believe the remaining investments are making good progress, the negative has been the continued culling of the portfolio that was not foreseen , Spin and Spark possible victims of the pandemic i guess as was progress at FW where anticipated revenue growth was pushed back. However Federated is forecasting revs of $17m (circa $3m) this year which is a big jump and I believe they were looking at a run rate of $40m by end of the year , with much of this revenue recurring its materially changing the basis of any valuation. This will be reflected in an IPO or SPAC reversal , i can see a pre IPO shortly raising the valuation bar and a float next year. That valuation will be significantly higher than 3-4 years ago and a big uplift in current book value imho. I believe similar picture at Orbital Sidekick and BridgeComm where further fundings are likely near term the opportunity in both companies is far clearer than even a year ago which i hope will be reflected in up rounds. | kooba
20/10/2021 06:58 | ALM seems same as it's been the past 3 or 4 years - either FW gets away, or it doesn't. The plus is that it's now 3 or 4 years in. The negative is how it's gone so far. Why FW isn't long since SAPC'd is beyond me. | spectoacc
19/10/2021 22:48 | I suspect a large % of the pot will go towards that hopefully followed by a large flotation in 2022. | bobonumber1
19/10/2021 19:50 | Spin was a money pit but there was the very real prospect of a large contract end 2020 that might have taken it through to commercial product , contract didn't come through. It was probably fed too much for too long. What's left now are at inflection point and starting to gain traction and commercial revenues .. apart from Ocuterra but that has some excellent backers and pedigree now. Feeling more confident in the portfolio if not the board ! | kooba |
