MM's are having a laugh here by holding in in the current range 'Buys' of over £20k are appearing and they're not budging Good to see at least some willing from our BOD to get skin in the game though. Fingers crossed we can breach the 30p mark before xmas. GLA

Bruce 100k at 31.92c, Harry 100k at 35c, so yes, full prices compared to the very recent sub-20p. Agree it's a positive, tho also means they know nothing about anything impending at Federated. Perhaps more importantly, the selling from CRS & Invesco seems to have paused.

Not sure these directors were under pressure to buy stock as they both are holders..it has to read as a positive, there are few opportunities where directors of these kind of companies are clean to be able to deal..so post update they have taken the opportunity ...shows confidence that they put some money where their mouth is. Looks like they paid a bit over 25p.

Harry & Bruce both bought a few, tho suspect it's fewer than many on here hold, and a reminder of the aptly named "Bruce Failing".

Well having criticised the board a fair bit here and question their alignment to their shareholders, however for clarity the strategy is “Upon the event of successful monetisation events from the sale of portfolio companies or portfolio company interests, Allied Minds anticipates distributing the net proceeds to its shareholders, after due consideration of potential follow-on investment opportunities within the existing portfolio and working capital requirements.” ‘21 results The company has pledged not to make any new investments , but the cash on balance sheet is to support existing investments. Quite possible they could hold further funds back if a monetisation event occurs to protect/enhance other holdings but the company has timetabled a full wind down 18-30m from where we are now. One would hope to see a material monetisation of at least one of the assets over the next 6-12m if the strategy is to hold up.

The problem with dreaming of closing the sp-nav gap is that when a monetisation does appear the usual reaction of a Board is to hoard a large part of the cash and spend it unwisely on vanity investments, thus guaranteeing years more of Board stipends while the new investments go sailing off into the unknown. Often never to be seen again. But the stipends keep coming. These seed-finance investment companies are usually investment mirages, having no wind-up date. Logically they can't work: there is never any pressure to perform to stay alive. "One day,Rodders ..." should be in the corporate mission statement. (Good stuff, kooba, I followed you closely on HUR too.)

It’s always amusing to see old holders regretting selling, such as skinwalker, come out of the woodwork when prices start going up.

IP group now trading back up at asset value , Draper Esprit big premium... Allied Minds still almost 50% discount to assets with company and brokers seeing VC like returns on current assets (46p per share) ..or even multiples of that value. Not surprised this appears overlooked and relative cheap because it has been a sorry tale over the years..but get the feeling that NAV has finally bottomed out so maybe the discount should really narrow far further.Fingers crossed.

Agree Federated def where it's at. One good outcome there, and ALM is away. But been the case for a fair few years!

Yes I couldn’t agree more. Been wittering on for ages about how good federated wireless could become with the recurring revenues they’ll generate. In time they’ll become bigger than the whole portfolio put together (I hope) GLA!!

Good to see the share price tick up again today- maybe the broker is back in the market continuing the share buy back? Having re-read the portfolio update a week on from its release it was probably better than I gave it credit for. The portfolio is one the current Board inherited- it seems to me that all the value effectively rests in Federated- and the sooner that value is crystalised or at lest verified (sale- series A round- something) the better. Hoping the price keeps going the right way

Shame - you might have learned something. As it happens I know quite a lot about Allied Minds and the similar IP Group.

You have come on here to cause trouble you obviously need a lot of attention ..bless. Suggest you go play elsewhere as you quite clearly have nothing constructive to add just some fantasy trades and zero knowledge of the company..Sad really ..now run along sunshine. Now blocked so I won’t be tempted to continue reading your pointless nonsense.
