Think there were lumpy sells going on at the 44p which has stopped the share price rising for now. Further gains will probably have to be positive news driven.

And ironically an RNS, but on Federated: "Allied Minds plc Federated Wireless partners with Cisco and others to bring 5G technologies to rural and poorly connected communities Allied Minds plc (LSE: ALM, "the Group"), the IP commercialisation company focused on early stage company development within the technology sector, notes the announcement by Cisco in which Federated Wireless, an Allied Minds portfolio company, is named as a partner in developing a first-of-its kind deployment toolkit for next generation networks using 5G technologies in the UK. As previously announced on 20 February 2020, Federated Wireless has partnered with Cisco and the University of Strathclyde in 5G New Thinking, an initiative that brings together diverse partners to develop the tools, processes and business models that will allow rural and poorly connected communities to establish next generation and 5G connectivity for local benefit. The project will be run in partnership with the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and with community and civic partners in the Orkney Islands, Borderlands and Northern Ireland."

Thanks for links. Federated the one that seems nearest to a disposal IMO, but that's a good read on Spin - a lot of blue-sky in both, when all either need to do is go for current valuation. "Spin Memory’s Universal Selector is a selective, vertical epitaxial cell transistor whose channel has a low enough doping concentration that it operates in full depletion."

Should be an RNS with that type of news.

Another good RNS on Federated: "Joe Pignato, CEO of Allied Minds, said: "This notable development provides more potential opportunities for Federated Wireless and follows a number of equally stand out partner agreements signed this year. 2020 is proving to be a breakthrough year for the business."

Thanks. Tho TA really is such a monumental load of twaddle :) Particularly liked the fact he'd never heard of Allied Minds before, and: "The key number looks like 55p - the share needing to actually close above this level to suggest a longer-term growth cycle is commencing." A longer-term growth cycle... What, like successfully offloading Spin & Federated, & winding up the co?

A bit of volume today, always nice to see into a rise.

Def - perfectly happy with the deal, implies value in one of the those most ascribe little to no value for, with a likely date for realising that value. It's just the self-congratulatory wording that irks!

Strange - seems just to be a transfer of ownership retaining the same shareholding.

Agreed, gain or loss will be measured if and when they sell the holding in Touchbistro. On balance we are probably nearer to a full exit of the holding than we were.

Fair enough, but "..Realizing value from our portfolio from well-timed exits.." is a stretch IMO.

It is an add on for Touchbistro, which is unlisted and looking to IPO in 2021.

I guess credit for seeing any value at all in this "tail" one, considering the sector, but slightly dodgy to claim success when getting shares that are being "retained": "Highlights · All consideration paid in the form of common stock of TouchBistro. · A total of 2,542,662 common shares of TouchBistro to be paid to Allied Minds valued at $5.99 million. · Represents an unrealized return of 1.27x on invested capital; equivalent to an internal rate of return (IRR) of 13.63% over two years to date. · The shares received in consideration shall be retained by Allied Minds. Allied Minds made its initial investment in TableUp in April 2018. The company is a provider of loyalty and marketing solutions for the restaurant industry. TableUp is highly regarded for its proprietary guest retention solution, which is used by more than 600 restaurants throughout the U.S. and will enable TouchBistro to fully integrate customer loyalty and guest marketing into its all-in-one point-of-sale (POS) and restaurant management platform. Joe Pignato, CEO of Allied Minds, commented: "The successful sale of TableUp, especially in today's challenging environment, reinforces our focus on realizing value from our portfolio through well-timed exits that maximize return to our shareholders."

Answering my own post after seeing when the article came out, no. This looks like news-inspired.
