If they have a small stake in Andaman Power and Utility Company Limited - then they may IPO in the future & have a wi in the Power Plant - we may of missed the boat on AAA as it's now mkt cap over £55m but what an interesting stake to have & more to follow

Hi cyberbub - once they pay this out they will still have change - very overvalued considering we don't know the value of their stake & if they have to invest in the capex - somehow don't think they do as they have just taken a stake in APU The consideration of acquisition is to be satisfied by US$1.25 million in cash on completion of the Acquisition.

Dawei gas power plant to be completed by 2016 hxxp://elevenmyanmar.com/national/3137-dawei-gas-power-plant-to-be-completed-by-2016 A natural gas-powered electric plant to be built by the Dawei Power and Utility Co, Ltd (DPU) will be completed in January 2016, according to officials. The power plant will be built in Yayphyu Township, Taninthayi Region and will generate 500 MW according to Win Swe, the regional minister for electric power. The minister said that the project would start construction after an environmental and social impact assessment had been conducted at the end of 2013. The construction period had been divided into three phases. Local people from Taninthayi Region are now paying for power at about K 500 per unit as the national grid is not accessible to the public. The construction period for the first 180-MW power plant will be from January 2014 to January 2015 as the first phase of the project. Another 180-MW plant will be built between July 2014 to July 2015 in the second phase and the last 160-MW plant from December 2015 to December 2016.

Can anyone clarify why the company has rocketed to a market cap of £50M when it only has cash of around £3M? The investment looks interesting but they can't magic cash out of nothing?

so AAA have a stake in a proposed power plant that will ultimately serve an area that's about to be the scene of a USD 60 BILLION mega project!! What a great strategic investment, well done those directors!

Sept 30 2013 Dawei is where the action is: Japan joined a meeting between Thailand and Burma to discuss how to kick-start the Dawei $60 billion mega project in southern Burma. It was the first time the three countries had met to discuss Japan's role as a potential investor in the massive Dawei project that includes, a deep-sea port, replace hxxp with http in the link below: hxxp://karennews.org/2013/09/japan-shows-interest-in-dawei-mega-project.html

All the action (Japanese investment) is targeted at Dawei Port So there is a future need for energy there http://www.economist.com/news/asia/21582554-planned-thai-mega-project-myanmar-runs-difficulty-build-it-and-they-might-come The rns today mentions Dawei: APU has signed an Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") with the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to act as an electricity and utility provider of Dawei (the capital city of the Tanintharyi Region in Myanmar) and its surrounding cities.

Arf Dysg Although I do not hold AAA I am a long term holder of MWA (formerly AFG). I believe things are going to get real interesting there. It may be worth putting the latter on your watchlist.

Plunge, what an interesting story. Absolutely fascinating. It brought a smile to my face. Thanks. I must admit, I've been holding my breath to know whether or not the takeover goes ahead. Public statements by Mwana could well imply that they have been (formally or informally) in touch with Adastra shareholders.

Investors in this stock should read the following: http://www.minesite.com/storyFull5.php?storySeq=3472 It does intimate that the First Quantum takeover may not materialise. Interesting times ahead.

Holy Cow! The chart's gone ballistic! (not that I'm displeased or anything...) What interests me in the RNS item discussing the agreed takeover was the statement to the effect that First Quantum reserves the right to match any other offer which comes along. I take this to mean that it's a distinct possibility.
