27/9/2009 12:24 | W - I did not really make my above comment that clear in stating that there was no point in blaming TM - yes he did issue misleading statements (what Chair and/or CEO does not at some time)and yes he has a lot to answer for to shareholders and the authorities. The point I was trying to make was that with reality not backing up his statements and with no deals, running short of funds with no backers coming forward, share price dropping etc etc the writing had been on the wall for some time and I foolishly chose to ignore the signs, so from that point of view, I blame myself for my loss and nobody else. | mikepearce45
27/9/2009 09:21 | Mike, AZM was not a large investment for me but I do disagree regarding Tim McCarthy not being at fault. If directors of listed companies are allowed to get away with issuing misleading statements then we get into a situation of the possiblity of fraud, large sums of money can by made or lost on an incorrect rns. | wakeland
26/9/2009 19:01 | In common with many on this board, I have lost a shed load of hard earned dosh on this Co - however, I can blame no one other than myself so there is no point in trying to blame Tim et al. It is a pity that some other Company and shareholders will now reap the benefit from the products they are now in the process of purchasing from GT and I fear that any sale proceeds will be mopped up by them in their Administration fees therefore leaving us , as shareholders , with nothing. I am a glutton for punishment for two other of my "investments" are in PRM and PET - will I never learn???? | mikepearce45
24/9/2009 14:37 | very disagreeable chap | capricious
24/9/2009 14:24 | Think he/she's saying that nothing has actually been completeed yet - apart from offers. | dunderheed

24/9/2009 11:53 | As far as I can see, there's no evidence that anything's been flogged yet. | filbert3
23/9/2009 16:17 | As lowly shareholders we will get all of £0.00, they could've waited for the ceti results in june 2010, for this apparent 'blockbuster' drug. | capricious
23/9/2009 11:09 | Looks like Cetti's been flogged then.Wonder if s/h will see anything.No mention of atl104 tho'. | corsondav
18/9/2009 19:10 | I gave my email to AZM so and if when there is any news i would receuve it.so far i only got two. | gambill
18/9/2009 13:49 | Well I don't mind putting some money in a pot to possibly pursue this - but feel it would be the company we would be suing and not the Tim - after all he was acting as their agent when he was talking the talk so errr well! Probably best to contact the administrators first? Has anyone bothered to do this? | dunderheed
18/9/2009 09:13 | Tell you what geyser - I had many phone conversations with the guy and he came very close to the line with regard to what he told me and what actually crystallised regarding cash requirements - think he must have been in a different company or something judging by the gap between what he said!! | dunderheed
18/9/2009 07:52 | I accept the point Dunders, I just don't accept him making it. | romust
18/9/2009 07:18 | He does have a point though Romust - that tim was just a liar - (all imho!). | dunderheed
17/9/2009 18:23 | What do you care dumpling..you don't invest in anything you just infest everywhere. | romust
17/9/2009 17:56 | When is macarthy being hauled before the FSA re LIEING to the market about the state of the company's finances and that all development costs were now in the hands of partners - that's what I'd like to know. Blatant lieing to the market appears to be entirely acceptable in this country, with no come back, unlike in the US where a civil class action at the very least would be underway, and probably an investigation by the SEC. | filbert3
11/9/2009 21:14 | Don't know if this will help or not: Administration of Alizyme Plc: Update Dated: Friday 28 August 2009 Following the appointment of administrators on 27 July 2009, Ian Carr and Nigel Morrison, Joint Administrators, have been approached by a number of parties interested in acquiring certain of the companies' products. 03/9/2009 15:25 | jak- are you a barrister? | lfc4ever
03/9/2009 14:49 | Dr Biotech, Yes - you are correct, muddling with renzapride (another major balls up/misleading of shareholders bearing in mind Palmer presented the Phase 2 data as very strong, yet when published it was shown to actually be weak - this should NEVER have gone into Phase 3 without a partner to pay for it - ie it should have been abandoned after the poor Phase 2 results). However, the same points apply. | filbert3
02/9/2009 20:45 | AZM: R.I.P. | silverbackalpha
01/9/2009 16:04 | jak I like that. | billthebank
01/9/2009 15:33 | Billthebank: We were all led to believe the lies we were spun by management. As I said before, I hope they have a miserable and poor retirement. Had my share certificate arrive today, have pinned it above the P.C. to remind me to make sure I never invest in a business that Tim and his cronies have anything to do with... | jak1 |
