achilles - this is the ninth quarter in a row that the share price has fallen and presumably a lot of shorters are onboard.
I suspect that, among longterm spreadbetters, a lot of closing buys will not be balanced by renewed sells this time - or might not be allowed to. But I'm only guessing. I have no idea how the overall market in this stock is divided up between the various derivative instruments, some of which expire on other dates, and how much manouvring the wholesalers are having to do to balance the books. Results will be released in 4 weeks time and could trigger a further dive (50p anyone?) which some players might be positioning themselves for.

I am staying onboard but won't be surprised if things get a bit jumpy, and if some shorters are choosing to quietly exit a day or two early ;-0

That said, the price behaviour around each previous quarter end has not been dramatic and i might be talking total twaddle (a language in which I have a GCE)

It's been another of those days on which people recieving margin calls on numerous other stock bets have had to liquidate some of their most profitable positions to pay the bills. I am guessing that might have some bearing on the price movement here? (Though I could be kidding myself of course)
