The independent oil and gas analyst Barney Gray discusses the decision by Surrey County Council to give the green light to the new Horse Hill programme.

Broadford Bridge and Horse Hill going back-to-back is good news

19 Oct 2017

"If everyone does things right, and councils play ball, you’ve got a resurgence in the onshore UK oil industry. “

Production tests will take place at both sites over the coming months

The prospect of Broadford Bridge and Horse Hill well programmes running back-to-back is good news for the UK oil industry, according to independent oil analyst Barney Gray.

UK Oil & Gas Investments PLC (LON:UKOG) is advancing its wholly owned Broadford Bridge well - the project has had some technical problems, but, has also seen encouraging signs with light oil flowing to surface – with a flow testing operation expected to start in late October and run until mid-December.

Thanks to an approval by Surrey County Council on Wednesday the team working at Broadford Bridge will move on to the Horse Hill field, where a two-well programme will advance a long term production test.

These programmes are expected to provide further catalysts for the emerging oil play in the south of England.

“[The results] will really start to tell us what the Kimmeridge and other formations are capable of,” Gray said in an interview with Proactive Investors Stocktube.

“Remember you’ve also got a conventional Portland [oil] discovery in Horse Hill as well, so there is much to go for.”

Gray reckons there can be much more to come in the Weald basin, if the upcoming programmes see positive results and the local authorities can see that the companies are responsible operators.

“We’ll see the next generation of exploration wells slated, we’ll see more appraisal work. Operators will really get it down pat, how to operate responsibly down here, and I think there is much more to come.

“So, there’s plenty going on. And if everyone does things right, and councils play ball, you’ve got a resurgence in the onshore UK oil industry. “

He added: “I think councils are under a lot of pressure to be assertive. This is a very political industry. They have to look to have ticked every box.”

Big news expected from Brockham soon, significant upside on confirmation of OGA production approval. Gla holders:-)

September 2017

Brockham Oil Field

Following Angus Energy’s guidance from its RNS of 11 May 2017, the Company has completed and submitted amendments to its FDP Addendum after consultation with the Oil & Gas Authority (“OGA”)to include provisions for on-site power generation.

These provisions detail a safe and efficient production process which will have the added benefit of allowing the Company to repurpose surplus power to the National Grid.
.
In addition, the Company has now received approval for its planning application to regularise the upgraded surface infrastructure at Brockham.

Accordingly, the Company is preparing for final site preparation and subsequent production once the amended FDP Addendum is approved by the OGA.

Given the required amendments to the FDP Addendum, the Company’s previous guidance regarding bringing Brockham into production by the end of the summer is now delayed.

The Company will work to commence production as soon as practical following OGA approval of the FDP Addendum and will update Shareholders in due course.

Lol you thicko...permit approval for HH is massive, but the only reason Ukog's share price didn't respond accordingly is because unfortunately HH's Flow tests would not start until BB's flow test operations were complete.....BB's flow tests expected to be back on track this coming week...Significant upside on positive data and Transformational upside on confirmation of commercial recoverable volumes. Gl ;-)

You are an absolute lying clown. Everyone can see that now

I dont know how much you get paid per post, but if its more than 0 pence, then your masters are wasting their money. You add no value, only someone to laugh at.....until you get the knock on the door.

Lol here comes your cohort mate Titman, another snide lowlife dishonest scumbag....you lot bang on about placings and fundraising continually on every share that your short...a typical scare tactic to try and discourage investors to suit your snide selfish and dishonest agenda's...I merely pointed out that if a company has enough cash and no immediate cash calls ( as HH flow tests would have been if it wasn't for BB's delay ) then chances are no placing will happen....having said that, there's nothing wrong with a good fund raise if a company intended to develop their assets to increase shareholder value....that's how it works....remember Ukog's 0.8p placing a few months back??? Their share price went up 10 fold plus a few weeks later....Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho...and as far as the oil is concerned, you lot have called it wrong since HH outstanding flow....the Weald Kimmeridge is awash with oil...a net oil play in excess of 1,400ft thick that extends 30km in all directions....that's World Class potential in anyone's book....and now it's a question of how much might be recoverable...BB's imminent flow tests followed by HH'S will answer that....SIGNIFICANT UPSIDE ON POSITIVE DATA, TRANSFORMATIONAL UPSIDE ON CONFIRMATION OF COMMERCIAL RECOVERABLE VOLUMES...exciting times don't you think??? ;')
