You are sick; CAP was a gamble; I win some, lose some. I win more than I lose you small minded foof.

Oh sorry, I seem to have upset you.I can confirm no fraud was required to sink CAP. The business case did that. Did you enjoy waiting around for that finale too?

In the event of a cash call it will be interesting to see if investors/management back the story here, or if those most in the know decide it is an utterly hopeless investment story (as they did, for example, with Clean Air Power).

mcm One can't do better than to listen to ramridge, a potential investor with no axe to grind like us oldies. AKR only owes me costs of a due diligence trip for 2 to NJ but otherwise a few bob profit on one small trade. I guess I am only here to see the finale when it comes. The survival now surely depends on China being real.

They are running low on cash and will likely make a cash call soon. That explains the lack of price reaction. The breathalyser product was a dud - you didn't need to see it fail to know it would fail. But they are pushing different markets now, with different products and with a more experienced sales operation.Evidently there is a lot of scepticism. Great. If there had been a lot of competition to buy the shares I wouldn't be sitting on a sub £1 entry price.

Not much of an increase today. But Akers has been all mouth and no trousers from the start

I'm not tempted to invest again in Akers. They are a cautionary tale for inexperienced investors.

werewolfie That's why they never sold; why would a health enthusiast need a breathalyser? AKR would have made more money selling sticks of chalk and a ruler

WereWolfie - have you seen the breathalysers being used? Fiddly, and a nonsense in the hands of a drunk or someone with a hangover. But in the hands of a health enthusiast, potentially quite different. Mcm - Ray Akers may or may not have said things in bad faith, but it is interesting to note that he does not feature anywhere in today's release. This news belongs to Gormally.

mcm They should make disposable lie detector tests and try them on Walter When Walter lies, they have to dispose of him. They had phenomenally lucrative news Never once did any come off

I thought selling breath tests to the French 4 years ago was a magnificent situation but here we are - still a penny share

HIT is a significant issue for hospitals, but not one of the most significant. The potential savings are meaningful - perhaps running into seven figures - but not running into tens of millions. It doesn't take a great leap of imagination to believe therefore, that it has taken a more senior level of marketing presence to raise awareness of platelet factor 4 up the echelons of the decision structure. So while this does not represent a multi billion dollar stocking order, the fact that it is being trialled in a large and prestigious hospital group is, I suggest, a significant step in the right direction.

You need to ask, why had they not tried it before? its been around yonks. Why announce a trial ? a promise but not a delivery; I think It smells; No it stinks

Looks like a potentially lucrative agreement with a group of up to 300 New York hospitals to introduce the PIFA tests: Http://www.investegate.co.uk/akers-biosciences--akr-/rns/agreement-with-gnyha-for-pifa-heparin-pf4-test/201612190700081677S/ "John J. Gormally, Chief Executive Officer of Akers Bio, commented: "Akers Bio is delighted to have signed a three-year agreement with GNYHA, one of the premier group purchasing organizations in the United States healthcare sector. Their membership includes a diverse listing of prominent and large integrated delivery networks (IDNs) and hospitals. Enhanced access to GNYHA's network has the potential to dramatically increase domestic sales of our flagship product."
