07/12/2018 15:28 | That's okay. I'm not proprietorial ;-) | zho
07/12/2018 15:22 | Sorry i see that link has already been posted. | shauney2
07/12/2018 15:04 | 0rient – No, my order didn’t get filled, it’s still sitting there outstanding, gather dust at 160! They opened at 170 offer, but only for a minute and I doubt if anyone would have managed to get in at that level, certainly not for a decent sized order. Given the price was up to 195 (offer) inside the first 10 minutes I doubt if any PI’s would have had any trades filled. | eaaxs06
07/12/2018 14:29 | I think it take another leg up next week when the great unwashed get to join the party. The demand is strong. | saltaire111
07/12/2018 14:02 | Ian Davenport..great to see you still about & active :-) Little mis-communication with the missus this morning..she applied for £60k worth and received 25k so 41% of what she applied for 👍🏻 I got 50k..10% of what i asked for. Now do we top up now or wait for a pullback, i sense a decent near term pullback is unlikely given the demand! eaaxs06..may i ask what you was filled at this morning with the limit trade? Only asking as kicking myself for missing it first thing. Cheers | 0rient
07/12/2018 13:09 | Well, you can buy from IG as CFD, WITH 25% margin. :-) | umitw
07/12/2018 12:39 | You cant buy in an Isa in the market. You have to wait until 12th December!Just checked with AJB | umitw
07/12/2018 12:22 | I applied through a SIPP, my partner through an ISA. Both applications were the same and we both received the same amount of shares, so no difference there. It’s strange how 0rient’s partner got a higher percentage on a bigger amount. Maybe everyone £60k and over got a flat 50%, up to £50k max? The interesting bit is that we both attempted to top up with a couple of limit orders, the SIPP order was accepted, but the ISA order refused, saying you ‘This instrument cannot be held within an ISA’ How very odd? Good luck everyone, Sid. | eaaxs06
07/12/2018 12:00 | Think you've cracked it , take 527 off my application and I got 37% of the rest as well, I'm guessing it tapers off for bigger applications, or maybe just caps at 50k | ian davenport
07/12/2018 11:57 | Interesting Orient , I applied for £15k and got 41% - maybe it's been different in Sipps and Isas | ian davenport
07/12/2018 11:56 | I’m surprised they didn’t announce the allocation in more detail, other than stating that everyone who applied of a minimum of 527 shares (£843.20 @ 1.60 price). On my application I got 527 plus 37% of the rest I applied for. I’m sure we will find out soon enough. Good luck everyone, Sid. | eaaxs06
07/12/2018 11:23 | 0rient, that’s interesting info. I called AJB this morning to query the scaled-back allocation and we told that the customer allocation had been significantly over-subscribed. I wonder if the institutions had theirs similarly reduced - I bet not! Anyway, mustn’t grumble. 33% on £50 grand is better than nothing. Do you plan to hold the shares? Salty | saltaire111
07/12/2018 10:52 | 50k must have been the max saltaire111 because that what i got too & i applied for a lot more 👍🏻 | 0rient
07/12/2018 10:50 | I applied for £250k worth in my AJB SIPP and got £50k worth. But disappointed to be scaled back that far. Was always going to be a winner when the price on a multiple was a third lower then HL. Salty | saltaire111
07/12/2018 10:41 | Let's hope the IPO for AJB maintains the progress made so far today. I only asked for £2,000 worth but must have been scaled back, finishing up with just 762 shares at £1.60 There is no option to sell right now, just buy at £2.16 !!!!! Trying to do some research on AJB on AJ Bell website, while logged in ..... response is ....... "Research page currently unavailable. Please try again in a few moments." A few moments later still not any joy. | hopperagain
07/12/2018 10:33 | I got just less than 50% so bought a few more in the market | essential
07/12/2018 10:22 | Well that's strange because I applied for some in my ISA a/c and got them. | superadams
07/12/2018 09:54 | You can't buy the shares in ISA apparently. | umitw
07/12/2018 09:32 | Aviva has a platform with c. £23bn on it and trades at a P/E of 6.35. extract ...... platform assets reached £22.7bn. At the end of the first half of 2018, assets under management in the provider’s long-term savings business were up 11 per cent to £121bn. | davebowler
07/12/2018 09:08 | The naysayers who didn't take part will be crying into their cornflakes about now :-)) | 0rient
07/12/2018 08:55 | Looking very strong - so far. | someuwin
07/12/2018 08:11 | People are living longer, astute youngsters are non trusting and taking control of their own future finances. SIPP's will keep on a long growth line for many years to come..I'm putting money on AJ Bell at least doubling in share price in the next couple of years, even more so with a longer time frame. HL has showed a 2000% gain from ipo and had all the same naysayers spouting the same back then too. Not saying it will be remotely as successful as HL but AJ Bell can have a decent slice of the cake!! | 0rient
07/12/2018 08:10 | Orient, Another Graham quip comes to mind: How the market is in the short term, a voting machine, but in the long run a weighing machine. Time will tell! No certainties either. | edmondj |
