Airtel Africa PLC said Thursday that it has agreed a partnership with Standard Chartered Bank that will increase access to mobile financial services.
The Africa-focused, U.K.-listed telecommunications company said it and Standard Chartered will co-create new products that will enable Airtel's customers to send or received digital payments via Standard Chartered Bank via their mobile phones. Customers will also be able to cash-out funds at exclusive kiosks and branches at their convenience.
