08/8/2018 12:16 | The games the mm's play are mysterious indeed! But such a tight spread encourages both buyers (particularly the day traders) and the sellers it also quite often a sign that the share price could be on the move up to a higher trading band. Hopefully in this case it means a recovery to at least the share price level that existed prior to that last RNS! A trading update is due the start of the next closed period, 28th August... I would be quite happy if it takes till then to get back to the 140p mark. A good set of confirmation figures, due out the end of September could then even propel it back into the 150-160p range. | dontay
08/8/2018 10:13 | Yes unbelievably low spread, very strange and surprising and hope it suggests us getting back up to £1.40 | goodpick
08/8/2018 09:58 | Yes... and the bid/ask spread has narrowed to just 1p! | dontay

03/8/2018 14:47 | pvb... it's not a problem, it takes a whole bunch of different people to make the world go round and round... and we can all learn from each other. It merely shows that some folk do some research before risking a penny and some don't worry about it. I can't even begin to imagine buying stock in company whilst not having a clue which market rules it has to play by... and which exchange it was regulated under. The fact that AIR is a member of the main exchange was a massive plus point to me... but I value my pennies! :) | dontay
03/8/2018 13:17 | Oh God! There's no telling some people... spacedust 1 Aug '18 - 14:27 - 721 of 723 Aim. Hence the spread Look at the charts at the head of this thread. What does it say? LSE:AIR | pvb
01/8/2018 16:00 | Exactly, thank you Valhamos. Trading in the stock had to be suspended due to them having to comply with the 'four month rule'. They had no choice in the matter! A fact that was actually alluded to in the 'investment report'. spacedust... the ask and buy spread has nothing whatever to do with which market the shares are traded on. Air Partner is traded on the main stock exchange and it's listing on that exchange is clearly a matter of public record!I restrict my investment activities on AIM. I'm only currently invested in only one company (NCCL) but that spread is negligible. The A.P spread can be all over the place at times, more often than not it can be wide but it narrows quite considerably at times too! A hoped for reduction in the often wide spread of A.P. was one of the main reasons given for the 5 for 1 share split. A wide spread is more commonly due to the liquidity (or lack of it) of the stock.... that applies on BOTH markets. | dontay
01/8/2018 15:25 | trident5 - 'cease trading' [shares] i.e. shares were suspended from trading. | valhamos
01/8/2018 14:27 | Aim. Hence the spread | spacedust
01/8/2018 13:52 | Dontay - don't think they ceased trading. | trident5
01/8/2018 13:30 | Four months is the maximum gap allowed for the reporting of results on the main market... but six months are allowed on Aim. A.P. initially delayed publication of the last results when the problems were discovered... and pushed the reporting date out to the four month maximum they were allowed. They then had no option but to cease trading when they discovered they wouldn't have all their ducks in a row in time to meet that four month rule... it took them another week before they could finalise the report. If they had been on AIM there wouldn't have been that problem. Most main market listed companies normally report well inside the four month limit... rather a lot of AIM listed companies take full advantage of the six month limit they are allowed. | dontay
