thanks alexacj, sharescope shows 1.5 pbt & 1.95 pbt for nxt yr.

I too think the estimates are too low. Hopefully ACS can convert some of the trials running into contracts, they have fallen down on this in the past.

Patience required now, although is should be remembered that these are up 47% in the last three months, so not that bad a return.

It all looks positive. My only concern is the lack of news flow between now & the next set of results. I see that ACS don't normally issue a pre-close update.

The share price hasn't moved on since the excellent interims which is disappointing.

alexacj - hadn't picked up on the Shore Capital buy rec, where did you pick that up from & did they produce any forecasts?

It looks like Zarifi increased his stake again on Friday and purchased about 200000 more shares......there has been a steady stream of share purchases by the non execs and Zarifi since the interims were announced........as has already been noted all positive signs imho!
Also I don't know whether anyone has noticed but Shore Capital have now issued forecasts for 2007 & 2008 with a buy recommendation......as long as I've been following these shares there has only been coverage from Evolution and T&G....

Nice to see another director buy today, Steve Broughton doubling his holding.

So the chairman has added 5 times since the results & now the non exec has bought twice in the last 3 days, positive signs.

That 17,123 @ 29.2 is actually a buy. Actual spread is 29.1 - 29.2.

Thanks Darl......a very interesting piece of research.......the final paragraphs seem to focus strongly on the growth from Insurers requiring the services of the CHOs.....(I note they state that car rental co's do not offer the service that CHO's do.....well they do if they are attached to ACS!).....as you say I think this further supports the view that the industry is now moving towards the ACS business model.......if an insurer had to choose a CHO to work with then I assume that ACE & HHR (who seem to hold their business meetings with insurers in the local courthouse) would not be top of their list!

With regard to the volume over the last 2 days.....interesting to say the least.....nearly 2% of stock has changed hands and no RNS.....I assume that they are buys unless the MMs are feeling generous and have paid 0.5p over the odds for the pleasure of aquiring a very large holding on to their books....something is going on!

Two things.

Big volume in the last couple of days, 4 large (for ACS) trades. Any thoughts?

A Numis note on ACE which seems to point to the fact that industry is moving more towards ACS business model. Interesting read in any case.

Well well.....just returned from a couple of weeks vacation to find that ACE share price has collapsed.......do any of the "experts" have any opinions on HHR.....i.e. does their model differ significantly from ACE.....if not should we now expect similar problems coming from HHR and are we finally seeing the demise of the "confrontational" CHO model......all now seems to be pointing towards ACS finally coming to fruition.....

Well looks like I was in good company adding yesterday. Chairman Charles Church has been buying again, 25k @ 30p, yesterday.

And up we go again.....interesting that on L2 EVO have now reduced their offer from 10000 to 5000......I've been following this stock for a few years now and have NEVER seen any of the MMs offer anything but 10000 on L2........anyone any thoughts......is there anyone there?

Hello Kirkie, I also thought that we would have a little more discussion. My own thoughts on this are
(a) An overhang was taken out by Zarifi
(b) This is just "catch up" to get to a sensible sp
(c)The Director purchases show that there is real belief in the future...in fact Charles seems to have a permanent buy order in for any available stock
(d)The four major insurers who are currently trialing would SIGNIFICANTLY increase turnover and profitability. Maybe they won't convert all of them but I think they will convert some.
(e)David & Peter have turned the company around and have now established a track record with the city that the previous executives had destroyed
(f)There is very little stock in free float

This company has been playing the "long game" for a while and took a gamble on insurers wanting to utilise their services. It is now accepted by all CHO's that insurers WILL utilise them to cut costs and build in efficiencies for their customers and their own business's.The most "aligned" CHO has got to be ACS! Couple that with a move into the Broker,Manufacturer & Fleet market where there are proven profits then I think the upside has to be enormous. The costs of the buildings,Directors and infrastructure are already there....it is the lower paid support staff that will need to be increased as business increases, therefore a larger portion of the turnover should flow to the bottom line. This company also has debtor days down to 70!....have a look at Helphire who has just reported.....I think their's is more than 3 times that amount......net debt has fallen to around £3 million......they don't have any downside risk of second hand car values falling if we begin to see a squeeze on jo publics pocket.......and don't forget.....wouldn't this make a great purchase either for a CHO that doesn't have a credible "Insurer friendly" model or to just take them out of the market by one that does.....all in all my own belief is that in the next couple of years this company should be capable of earnings greater than £4 million p.a.....AIMHO!

Would have thought there would be some more discussion of this on here - come on people.....

So what's fuelling this rise then?

a) re-rating based on interim results, increased margins and future prospects for H2?
b) momentum traders piling in following the directors' buying recently?
c) stakebuilding in the background?
d) other reasons?

Well we have now broken through the 30p barrier......next test will be 40p....we should safely break that on the announcement of one or more of the trials going to contract..........unless we are all surprised by a bid for the company......I think the past 2 co's that Charles Good has been chairman of have both been aquired.....look at Blooms share price performance for his track record in company recovery and then sale......not too bad imho!
alexacj

And yet again he has added.......it appears that Mr Good is mopping up absolutely any free stock as it becomes available.....does he know something we don't?????
alexacj
16/3/2007
09:03
Darl I agree.....the chairman has now "mopped up" three traunches of stock......Zarifi has added another 1% to his already large holding and now Gorton adds as well.....all very good signs imho......they currently have 4 trials running and one of those trials could equate to 15000 hires p.a.!......that sort of volume would cause a rapid growth in turnover and profitability......put that together with the expansion into the broker/fleet and manufacturer market (at last!) then I think we could really see a transformation in this company to a scale we hadn't dreamt of. This next 12 months is critical to Ai......if they manage to successfully migrate those trials to contracts then this is a whole new "ball game"

Nice move up this morning.

Online can sell 100k @ 28.5 & only buy 25k at 28.88.

In last couple of weeks we've have the Chairman adding to his holding, plus a founder of business, retired non-exec director David Gorton adding as well. Positive signs.

A great share to buy & hold with a 12 month view, I believe the business is at a very exciting stage with potential for revenues to increase rapidly.

Chairman added again on Friday. Another 25k, he's now added 125k in the last wk.

Not massive buys in % terms but he seems to be taking any available stock.
