Maintained dividend, and net debt down, despite a lot of doom and gloom. Not sure what the yield is, but probably quite juicy?

petethehippy:> I suspect medium term structural linked to both the slow down in the world ecomomy and or the strenth of the $US and weakness of EM currencies coupled with the fall in the price of oil/gas/coal amking conventional power generation much cheaper HOWEVER possible weather related upside from the decrease in many countries of Hydropower availablity.

Just gut feel - for a full reply to your question would need to spend considerable time combing the accounts and trading statements to analyse revenue by country catagoy of supply and competitive costing.

Has been on watch list for some time but gut feel is that probably significant further falls to come.

I suspect that they did not pay the right bribes to the right people to get the contract.
I have been watching for a while but am not going to take a stake in the immediate future as I see plenty of pressure over the next 12 months.

"..Some analysts have said the withdrawal may also hit Aggreko's 2016 earnings. The company had already warned in August that markets were likely to remain difficult next year, after a profit warning in July.
For the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Aggreko's power deal was worth nearly $60 million, although the Rio 2016 contract was expected to be worth less as it is smaller in scope.
"It won't impact earnings expectations but it does support our view that Aggreko has lost some of its sparkle in recent years," said Stifel analyst Caroline de Soujeole, who has a "sell" rating on the stock.
Aggreko shares, down 37 percent so far this year, were up 0.7 percent at 907 pence by 0805 GMT..."

no reason for drop today someone leaves someone takes his place ,but although it is unfortunate for the people in scotland and the north of england,it can be looked at as positive for AGC as they along with other things supply emergency power supply to these homes and businesses ,which i hope helps eleviate some of the misery they are going thru.

A relief rally but not sure that this is the start of a new upward leg.
I may take a smallish stake and then add to it at the next results if they look more reassuring.

Appointment of Managing Director, Power Solutions

Aggreko is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicolas Fournier as Managing Director, Power Solutions, with effect from 2 November, 2015.
