18/12/2020 16:18 | Er - yes. Not sure what I did there. Over optimistic. | shieldbug
18/12/2020 15:06 | @shieldbug - I believe you meant $3.04m/yr... Although I would be happier if your calculator is superior to mine and it really comes out as $30.4m! | outlawinvestor
18/12/2020 14:18 | There are plenty of variables - cash cost being one. That cash cost may have included Tantalum which was included in the Stage 1 Phase 1 figures. Cash cost for tin only may be higher. Hopefully they are at least cash neutral. | shieldbug
18/12/2020 13:30 | Thanks, I would also guess they get quite a discount to the spot price (but really don't know). | ukgeorge
18/12/2020 11:56 | 12 months of 41.6t contained copper would be 499 tonnes (from latest production figures) Estimated cash cost for stage 1 - $13,900/t (from June's Uis Tin Mine Phase 1 Review) Today's tin price - $20,000/t cash per tonne $6,100/t 499 x 6100 = $30.4m/yr I would hope they are cash positive but I have no idea how much they are spending on developing Tantalum production and then Phase 1, Stage 2 and beyond. | shieldbug
18/12/2020 09:15 | Do you think they are cash flow positive yet? | ukgeorge
18/12/2020 09:07 | The IPO placing price was 3.9p/share. Hard to see why they would sell the company at 4p. The tin price today is higher than it was at IPO - and rising. A sale a 4p would make no sense unless they are about to run out of cash and they could not raise further capital. | shieldbug
18/12/2020 08:22 | Just listened to Jeff Currie talking on Bloomberg - making the case that we are at the start of a new commodities super-cycle. | shieldbug
18/12/2020 02:18 | ...and it's welcome to the 20th floor as LME tin cash closed @ $20,058 (3m contract @ $20,000) - highest levels sine Apr 2019. | outlawinvestor
17/12/2020 12:47 | Interesting video on ATM twitter feed by ITA on current research on tin in green technologies: hxxps://youtu.be/rrK LME Tin cash closed last night at $19812, the 3 month contract closed @ $19782 with a high of $19975. | outlawinvestor
16/12/2020 16:08 | no haven't heard anything in Oxfordshire today | ukgeorge
16/12/2020 14:18 | I hear rumours of suitors at 4p. Anyone else's heard anything? | a2584728
16/12/2020 13:28 | ETFS Tin offer is currently above $36 with bid at $35.65. ShFE Feb contract is currently trading close to RMB 155K... which by my crude analysis suggests LME Tin cash price is knocking hard on the $20,000 level. Intrigued to check today's high/close first thing tomorrow! | outlawinvestor
15/12/2020 19:38 | LME 3 month tin price - $1,9670/t. | shieldbug
07/12/2020 18:58 | In fact, based on the June Phase 1 review, the estimated cash cost for stage 1 should include 40 tonnes annual production of tantalum concentrate. AV mentions tantalum in the Proactive interview but it is not clear that they are confident that they will prevail. He mentions getting the right liberation based on the right gauss magnetic strength. My interpretation is that they can separate some Tantalum but not as much as they thought. I expect that they need to separate in stages and grind some of the material to a smaller particle size to increase separation. All of which increases costs. Some information here on what looks to be a similar use of magnetic separation of Tantalite from quartz - hxxps://www.911metal | shieldbug

07/12/2020 15:48 | Afternoon all, Here's an overview & update from CEO Anthony Viljoen: | macc1
07/12/2020 15:06 | "These opportunities include a modular expansion of the plant throughput, and potential production of a by-product in the form of a tantalum concentrate. The Company is conducting test work to investigate the feasibility of magnetically separating tantalum minerals from the tin concentrate." Not very reassuring word "potential". It sounded so easy when AV was talking about separating Tantulum previously. Would like to have some details on this. | shieldbug
07/12/2020 15:03 | 12 months of 41.6t contained copper would be 499 tonnes. Estimated cash cost for stage 1 - $13,900/t | shieldbug
07/12/2020 10:22 | Macquarie bank has a forecast of $19,250/t for 2021 going up to 22,500 in 2023 then back to 21k for Tin | ukgeorge
07/12/2020 10:14 | Hannam and Partners has a price target of 11.7p for feb 2021 Which is interesting :) | ukgeorge
07/12/2020 10:12 | Bought a teeny tiny amount as a starter position, looks interesting! | koolio
07/12/2020 07:39 | Good news - ATM pilot plant achieved nameplate production capacity! Highlights: Nameplate tin concentrate production and completion of production ramp-up achieved for Stage I of Phase 1 during November 2020; Tin concentrate production totalled 63.9 tonnes for November 2020, representing a 32% month-on-month increase; and, No confirmed COVID-19 cases have been recorded at the Uis Tin Mine to date, as strict COVID-19 mitigation measures remain in place to safeguard the workforce. | outlawinvestor
26/11/2020 15:34 | Afritin are presenting at this event. I went to the event the last two years, it is normally quite good. Hopefully 2021, will be back as a real event. | ukgeorge |
