15/7/2020 11:15 | [Industry news | FYI] Peru’s Minsur has reportedly discovered a large tin deposit at its Nazareth brownfield project in Puno, Peru. hxxps://www.mining-j | outlawinvestor
11/7/2020 16:33 | "PUNT OF THE WEEK: Tin miner Afritin is tipped to benefit from the electric vehicle and renewables revolution PUBLISHED: 21:50 BST, 10 July 2020" Published after the close on Friday 10 July, so there might be some buying on Monday. A rather brief article! | weyweyumfozo

09/7/2020 18:46 | I have no desire to divert the conversation away from the quiet and excellent commodity thread [ but I need a stock thread with various time frame charts and a view of trading volumes. I will probably post on both threads. | outlawinvestor

26/6/2020 09:38 | From the Crux talk, AV seems to expect a large (post COVID) spike in tin price due to supply constraints, similar to that seen after the GFC. Worth a look at tin pricing since 2006. Makes today's price look low and a cash cost of $13,800 look good. It was volatile Aug 2007 - $14,000/t May 2008 - $24,000/t Feb 2009 - $10,000/t Apr 2011 - $32,000/t | shieldbug
25/6/2020 17:36 | “We’re expecting a 20% margin, and that’s just on the tin, with the tin price at around US$15,000. Add in the tantalum and the margin goes up quite substantially. Our C1 costs are running at around US$13,800 per tonne, but the bigger we make the throughput the more lucrative this operation will become.” hxxps://www.proactiv | shieldbug
25/6/2020 17:19 | Hi guys, here is our latest interview with AfriTin. Watch here: | cruxinvestor

24/6/2020 11:00 | Taken from LSE - I haven't had time to read this yet, and it is long and detailed: Turner Pope - Marketing Communication: ..."Base case valuation of £74.3m or 11.4p per share representing 443% upside to current share price We value ATM using a discounted cash flow (10% discount rate) approach for its Uis tin mine assuming both tin and tantalum concentration production and a long-term price of US$21,500/t, US$150,000/t and US$400/t for Sn, Ta and Li concentrates, respectively. At 11.4p per share, our DCF valuation is 443% above the current market price. We believe ATM’s investment case is dependent upon the company being able to ramp up production at its Uis operations and realise the potential for additional revenue streams from the production of Ta and Li concentrates during its planned Stage III development. We note that our DCF valuation increases to £77.7m or 11.9p per share should the company be successful in increasing the average ore grade from 0.139% Sn (Measured Resource estimate) to 0.158% Sn through a proposed automated ore sorting circuit after the primary crushing stage and the addition of a petalite (4% Li2O) concentrate circuit during Stage IV development."....... | weyweyumfozo

17/6/2020 16:20 | Crux have just posted on lse that they will be interviewing Anthony Viljoen tomorrow, if there are any questions you want to ask then you can post over there. | allabouttiming
16/6/2020 11:44 | Goods to see the ATM moving out of the shadows and the consequent start of uptick. Cash Tin @ $17110, the other day. which all helps. Now ASKing 2p, with almost that being paid. f | fillipe
16/6/2020 09:54 | Quite a detailed update. No mention of new CV19 restrictions, on the contrary operations are back to normal levels. From their financial models (not independently verified), the Phase 1 project economics are quite appealing once Stage I is complete - target: end of H2 2020. It is also useful to see their C1 Cash Cost estimates which turn negative in Stage III. Presumably this is down to tantalum and lithium credits. | outlawinvestor
12/6/2020 10:45 | Yeah, it would be great to see another update from the company. Apparently the region is back in stage 1 lockdown. hxxp://www.xinhuanet hxxps://www.namibian | outlawinvestor
10/6/2020 12:42 | tin at $17,000/t | shieldbug
05/6/2020 15:34 | Tin back up to $16,000/t Second batch of 20 tonnes concentrate left UIS before RNS 18th Feb. Third shipment was due to leave in mid April. Would be good to hear some news on that. | shieldbug
09/5/2020 16:35 | ATM will be diluted again for stage 2 - they will mitigate the damage this will do as they are taking stock themselves but they will need money, quite a lot of it for stage two. AV is holding back on the info as is his way, so you invest on trust or independent research. Good board this - glad I found it. | georgesorearse
13/4/2020 10:53 | Tin back at $15,000/t. Huge increase in demand for data centres caused by coronavirus lock down. Large increase in personal computer sales to support home working. Meanwhile just 16 cases recorded in Namibia. Though of course there may be many more unrecorded cases. | shieldbug
31/3/2020 16:46 | Thanks sheildbug. | outlawinvestor
31/3/2020 16:41 | Outlaw - Afritin's claim about being low cost is based on stage 2 production. Stage 1 is about proving (derisking) the project. The debottlenecking referred to in the RNS is laying the ground for a realistic BFS for Stage 2. They won't make any money until Stage 2. | shieldbug |
